But there may be a follow up point needing clarification. If a bid is rescinded, does that reset the clock to zero? Or, does the time stamp on the previous bid become the time standard?

I was just going to sit with like 15 million in my pocket and see if anyone ever started bidding on him and swoop in when everyone was closer to out of money lol.

I am REALLY interested to see how Clowney's contract plays out this year. Everyone knows he is a good player but everyone also doesn't seem to want to be the team that pays him $22 million+ a year for a really good pass rusher / great run defender. The guy is still a force on the field commanding double teams etc... But he is going to cost SO MUCH. We shall see.

In retrospect, I'm happy to let the bidding carry on and the Bills to have top bid. If it's just a case that someone didn't have time I'd rather it be realistic and players to get what they actually deserve. You okay with that @Lyman?
