2020 GMO Free Agent Bids

Yup that's what happened to me with Quinn and Byron Jones. I moved on and then when a rescind happened and could get Quinn at my price I had to back out on Jones.

In retrospect I am not sure it's actually problematic. It's just different. Like we haven't typically operated this way so we were not really expecting a large number of rescinds but at the end of the day does it matter? I don't know. It might make for a barrier to entry for new GM's maybe?

It's definitely a problem for GMs that have limited time to operate in this exercise, and there will be rules in place next year to correct the issue.

Nothing to avoid if the other GM hadn’t been allowed to rescind in the first place. Just sayin’.

Agree with Tim's assessment - this wouldn't have been "unavoidable" if the other owner hadn't made a bid they later had to rescind.

Well it has certainly provided us with some filler for discussion.

Like Tim said before, we are always trying to improve the process where things come up along the way. Maybe after 12 or 15 years we’ll have this thing perfected.

    Guilty.

But I wasn't bidding by myself when the high bids for 30+ year old stop gap tackles reached Franchise Tag altitude.

It's not a blame game, so no worries.

This was my line of thinking at first.....However, if other GM's are saying it's a big problem, then obviously rule adjustments should be made. I'm okay with whatever is decided.

These things always get sorted in the end.

It's like having dinner with all of your extended family. Starts off with nothing but greetings and 'how you been?', followed by too much alcohol and everyone bitching. Then there's more alcohol, you hug it out, suffer the hangover the following day and come back again the following year to repeat the process.

Jaguars RESCIND their bid on TE Eric Ebron (IND)

Bid goes back to Arizona at $7,300,000 - @Paddy_McAndrew

After trading for TE Will Dissly, don’t need to spend that much for Ebron anymore
