The Buccaneers bid on Marcus Mariota QB Titans $10,000,000 Did the Cowboys really franchise tag Zac Prescott?
Dallas has 48 hours to match but any team that wanted to have a better offer needed to have it in before that 48 hour clock expired. Any new bid would have reset the clock. If there was no new bid after 48 hours (or if a new bid was receieved and 48 hours had ticked off) and Dallas matched the original within that 48 hour period then the Cowboys are awarded the player. If not, the player goes to the highest offer with no continued bidding between teams.
No. In previous years once a bid on a transition player or RFA was “won” by another team the team with ROFR had 24 hours to notice and decide to match or not match. In RL they get three days
And the 24 hours was a grace period that we tried to never use so that the teams making the bid on the transition player would have time to adjust their wallets. Basically, if you matched and got to keep the player I bugged you immediately to make a signing announcement, lol.
SEAHAWKS BID Leonard Floyd - EDGE (CHI) $6,000,000 Jason Pierre-Paul - EDGE (TB) $6,000,000 Emmanuel Ogbah - EDGE (KC) $6,000,000 Carl Nassib - EDGE (TB) $6,000,000
I've basically been sitting back and waiting to see how the free agency flows this season. It's been really hard to stay up to speed with everything else happening right now.
