Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

I'm thinking about starting an NCAA Football Pick'em contest next year. Trying to get a feel for how many of you would be interested in participating.

Lots of details to work out, but . . .

• It will probably use the the top 15 teams in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
• Due to scheduling differences between the NCAA and the NFL, it will probably use the opening point spread for the games each week.
• Winner will be based on correct picks percentage.
  • There will be a penalty for missed picks . . . just haven't figured that out yet.
• There will probably be a sign up routine that will be used at the end of the season as a tie breaker, if necessary.

Just reply to this post if you're interested. I may contact some that do (via PM) to see if you want to participate in a test drive this year that would let me work the bugs out of a spreadsheet that I'll use to manage the contest.

Only as a backup. There's a learning curve, to be sure, but I'm enjoying Mason Rudolph at the helm.

And for what it's worth. I think if Vinitiari makes that FG, Rudolph hits Washington on a big gain and Boz hits one with time running out.

I know you are but I just had get a plug in for MR. I feel so much better about the prospect of Ben leaving. I think the Steelers will be just fine.

 

I'm On the Rudolph bandwagon too. I Even drink my morning coffee out of a Rudolph the red nose reindeer cup every day now. The Cup was in my cupboard already if anyone wanted to know. so it must have been fate

Well, the Steeler's rep in the 2020 GMO had to drop out at the last minute and I inherited them.

If you would, please - give me your thoughts on the Steelers' biggest needs for 2020.

 

OLB, OG, TE, QB, RB, CB

So far, this is what has transpired in the GMO.

• Started out with almost zero cap space ($409,826) based on the roster when it was locked for the exercise.
• Restructured/Extended the contracts of Ben, DeCastro and Hayward. (3 max allowed).
• Signed ERFA Zack Banner, OT (original round tender)
• Signed OLB Bud Dupree in free agency.
• Traded up into the 1st round and drafted RB Jonathan Taylor - Wisconsin (he now comes with a 5th year option).
• Drafted TE Hunter Bryant (Washington).

NOTE: Both Taylor and Bryant were the top rated players at their positions based on my board.

I think most Steelers fans prefer Dobbins over Taylor. But you’re doing a good job
