2020 GMO Franchise Tag, Restructures, RFA & ERFA

I did a little mental math on this yesterday Torgo. I realized that the SFA players are mostly made up of guys who were released after the last season ended, meaning in real life teams can sign them before free agency, although I doubt we will allow that here. One or two examples are Vernon Hargreaves, Josh Norman, or Damon Harrison

 

Ya. We need every moment of readiness we can get anyways. The server changes and expected changes before then came at a shitty time.

 

Also I would love to sense the presence of one or two more GM’s involved in this exercise before we start bidding on anyone.

In past years a large part of the reason I’ve ended up with a third team is that as FA bidding is about to start I realize some GM with an obvious tag candidate isn’t present, and I want the integrity of the process to survive.

Having you step in as another GM would make a lot of sense.

 

SFA = Street Free Agent. Those are typically players that were released by their team for whatever reason. They rarely (if ever) have Dead Money associated with them. I haven't done the research but I seriously doubt that more than a couple of them are "foreign exchange players".

 

Not really what I meant Tim. You were thinking commissioner, I was just talking about team managers/GM’s. Of course having helped run these so often in past years I will naturally do little things to help purely out of habit

 

Ah, my mistake.

 

SFA is a street free agent, ie, a player who is currently free to sign with any team prior to the start of the league year. These include players that were on teams’ practice squads at the end of the season, as well as veteran players that were cut for cap purposes such as Josh Norman, Snacks Harrison, etc.

For the purposes of GMO, I would assume treating such players as regular UFA’s is the only logical course of action.
