George Parros resign is trending on twitter, something about not taking action for Benns hit on Ekman-Larsson.

 

Looks like Benn got away with one... I don't get it.

 

That's a minimum 2 games, Parros is a dumbass.

The NHL suspended Minnesota Wild forward Kevin Fiala three games for his ugly hit on Matt Roy of the Los Angeles Kings.

During Thursday’s 5-3 Wild win over the Kings, Fiala received a boarding major and game misconduct for the hit on Roy.

As you can see in the Department of Player Safety’s explanation, the league believed that Fiala was “entirely in control” as the play developed. It was a hit at “high speed, and at a dangerous distance from the boards.” There are multiple mentions of Fiala “seeing Roy’s numbers” before boarding him.

Other factors the NHL mentioned after they suspended Fiala for three games for boarding Roy:

• Roy suffered an injury on the play.
• On the other hand, Fiala doesn’t have a suspension history.

Terrible Tom at it again. Bullshit play. When I saw it live, I couldnt believe the no-call.... refs were awol.

Hope he recovers, heard he went to hospital also.

Seems fair to me. Wasn’t a vicious play in my opinion but if the league seriously wants to eliminate shots to the head they need to be penalized. Ironically this was not penalized at the time.

That hit came in the 1st period and then Bruins scored 4 in a row.

 

And he got away with something again.
