The Pens have quietly built themselves up a really strong team this season. This despite a key injury to Crosby and also losing Guentzel (who looked like he was having a career season).

 

Jimmy Howard pulled after 4 goals midway through the 2nd period.

At 35 years old and on an expiring contract, he'll be a UFA. His save % is below .900, I could see him earning near the league minimum if he gets signed next year as a backup.
Not sure who the Wings have in their system but he'll free up $4M, so they could use that to make a pitch in the free agent market.

Hahaha! I'm very glad that you and the family are enjoying yourself, my friend. It may be raining, but at least it's not cold! Good for them. That's a damn nice area down there - it's about 30-45-ish minutes south of the part of Palm Beach County where I lived. We just moved up to the Orlando area at end of last year, so sadly we're desperately missing going to Panthers games, ourselves.

Hopefully you're still down there for at least part of this week - the weather is gorgeous right now.

It's probably a good thing you saved yourself the trip to the Panthers / Oilers game. It was another painful watch. The Panthers fan base is about in riot mode, right now - this is definitely not what ownership had planned for fan base expansion.
