What did players on the astros who moved to new teams do with the information the astros were cheating? Did they try to get the new teams to cheat? Did they pretend it neve happened? Some of them moved to teams that would be competing against the astros surley you would not stay quiet on a new team facing you old team that had an advantage.

ATLANTA -- Félix Hernández will have a chance to extend his career when he comes to Spring Training attempting to win a spot in the Braves’ starting rotation. The Braves have signed Hernández to a Minor League deal that includes an invitation to big league Spring Training, and the 2010...

I'm 100% certain they would at least tell their fellow players and coaches and give them a heads up.

Considering the only reason we know any of it is because Fiers blew the whistle, I’d say the preponderance never had any attention of doing anything. Publicly, at least. Shit Fiers didn’t say a word for three years while he was on the team benefiting from the cheating, nor for two full years after. This is a dark secret I suspect most players would’ve been perfectly fine with it staying that way.

Which is what i think and yet none of these teams did anything. The only logical reason they would not say anything is to keep their own activities in the dark.

Cheating has been a part of baseball since baseball was invented.

Most managers in the game won't say anything when they see a pitcher doctoring the ball because they know some of their own guys are doing the same.

Thats why the writers holier than thou we will not put barry or roger in the hall because of stwroids is so funny. Everyone knew it was going on and those saying they were surrpised are liars or stupid (guess they could be both). Its funny because every so often baseball gets egg on its face and wonders why. Then the purist ju,p in and say ots okay to cheat this way but not that way. Come on give me a break when some cheating is okay itmopens the door to all cheating either embrace it and move on or quit getting panties in a bunch when it happens.

The rules should just be black and white with no gray area or exceptions. Banned substances or illegal use of technologies should all be treated as such. Spell it out and stick too it. If pitcher doctors a baseball or a batter has pine tar up to high on the handle, I don't think that compares to steroids and camera's though and that's just my opinion.

Looks like MLB going after the Managers/Coach's and GM's, is an attempt to hit them hard so there is a trickle down effect to police their own players, but individuals should be held responsible and accountable for their own actions.

The punishment definitely has a chance to alter the way managers approach this. I think most managers likely opt to pretend they don't see the things happening. Rumors are that Hinch didn't condone the cheating and was actually against it but didn't intervene at all. I think that's probably what the average skipper would do.

This recent punishment will probably make a manager react much differently in the future.

They definitely aren't in the same boat. Cheating is cheating but obviously some forms of it are more egregious.

The problem with the heavy hand coming down on management and not players is that players will either hide it from managment or managment will make a greater effort to not know about it. If you want to wipe it out drop the hammer on all.

The Indians were the team that won 20 something games in a row and set the all time record....No team was more on a roll than the Tribe heading into that postseason.....

The Houston Astros have ruined baseball.

I can deal with the steroid generation, but what AJ Hinch and the boys did....Not sure if I ever want to watch MLB again.

What does houston have to do with the indians loosing to the yankees?

Yeah, good catch. I was off a year on that win streak (2017).... Houston took the Indians out in 3 straight games in 2018 divisional playoff round. No doubt they cheated like hell.
