So the Tricky Ricky nightmare continues so the O-line will still suck Pat Elflien and Riley Reiff will start? maybe i should be happy with just good enough and Zimmer getting out coached its like the Vikings are scared to take the next step-up ( sigh )

Mike Zimmer hopes to figure out how to get over the hump...

But for stepping on a rake in the Super Bowl, Mike Zimmer’s six years in Minnesota have provided a microcosm of the Vikings’ postseason experience. Playoff appearances half the time, a couple of euphoric January wins, inevitable disappointment.

Zimmer said during his end-of-season press conference that he has spoken to his mentor, Hall of Famer Bill Parcells, about what it will take to deliver the thing that has tantalized Vikings fans for decades, on the heels of a 27-10 loss to the 49ers.

“We kind of ran into a buzz saw a little bit, I think,” Zimmer told reporters. “We didn’t look as fresh in that ball game as we did the week for. Obviously, I’m not making any excuses, they’re a good football team. They played really, really well. I was on the phone with Coach Parcells for an hour this morning talking about trying to get over the hump of we’ve been to the conference championship, we’ve been to the divisional game, we’ve been in a wild-card game where we lost by a field goal, and just trying to figure out how do we get over this hump of getting to the next level and eventually winning this thing.”

So what do the Vikings need to do under Zimmer to get it done, once and for all?

“We’re not going to talk about it,” Zimmer said.

Fans will be fine with that, as long as Zimmer can put Parcells’ advice into action. With an aging defense and lingering questions regarding the effectiveness of a bare-bones offense that relies too heavily on the run and that can’t generate a dangerous passing game when the running game becomes stymied, can the Vikings do enough in one offseason to be ready to win the games they should (they usually do) and eventually to win the games they shouldn’t (they usually don’t)?

It won’t be easy, not with a cluster of great NFC teams that have all reset to 0-0 and, but for the two teams still chasing Super Bowl LIV, begun the preparations for Super Bowl LV.

I think we will see a lot of change/movement... the Vikings need and want to get over the hump.

I think the core is solid and can be built around, but the secondary will be different. The coaching staff just might get completely blown up outside of Zimmer. I havnt heard if Kubiak is coming back yet... that will be an interesting thing to watch.

Kubiak makes a big difference. He really knows how to run an offense.

I have very little confidence in the front office in keeping Kubiak it would hurt to lose him

Time for Zimmer to go seems like he can't win the big game and Tricky Ricky seems to believe in putting a so so team on the field are the Wilfs happy with this?

Changes have to be made are the Vikings really talking about extending Capt Kirk, they need to get a mobile QB in the draft it's time for Zimmer and Tricky Ricky and Capt Kirk to go after the 2020 season the Vikings have so many needs but first things first got to fix the front office!

Vikings sign former CFL receiver Bralon Addison

The Vikings announced they signed receiver Bralon Addison to a futures deal.

Addison spent the past two seasons playing for the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the Canadian Football League.

He earned CFL East Division All-Star honors in 2019 by catching 95 passes for 1,236 yards and seven touchdowns. Addison also ran for 218 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries.

Addison originally entered the NFL in 2016, signing with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. He spent time with the Broncos and Bears during his rookie season.

Addison played two games with the Bears, catching one pass for 11 yards, rushing one time for 4 yards, returning two punts for 3 yards and returning one kickoff for 18 yards.

The Vikings also announced they signed defensive end Stacy Keely to a futures deal Tuesday. Keely spent the 2018 season on the Vikings’ practice squad after signing as an undrafted free agent in May.
