lol! Not Mortons. I forgot they closed..(he used to work there.)
Hyde Park on Old Henderson Rd. is where he's at now.

I think it would be a great hire...

Are NFL teams required to announce to the public whenever they have a formal interview with a potential head coach? Just curious.

Not that I'm aware of. There are rules in place around assistants and the infamous "Rooney Rule", but I'm not aware of a requirement to announce formal interviews -- in fact, especially when picking from collegiate level coaches it makes sense to have closed-door meetings.

I don't follow them closely enough, but I don't seem to recall any reported interviews with Jon Gruden and the Raiders, which would be the closest parallel to Urban -- ex-coach currently in broadcasting.

Not to be confused with the "Mickey Rooney rule" that duff already alluded too..

I like the Saleh choice. A defensive HC, who will look for the best OC he can find. We've got some talent on D that has yet to show what they can do, but with a strong D coach, they'll learn discipline and how to function as a team.

My biggest questions for him is: Does he have a thorough list of possible assistant, or a strong network to draw from.

I'm not all that interested in an Offensive minded HC, if it means he's going to split his time, while trying to be OC too. I'd rather he have a couple of names of strong OC / QB coaches in mind.

That's my 2 cents, now that McCarthy is off the table

Yay. I still say that's a win for us.

Me too... I think he might be great.

I like Selah too for the Browns. After his 2 seasons of failure with the Browns the Steelers should be able to get him cheap as a DC.

Shut it Gid....You do realize that the Steelers have plenty of issues to address as well, right?

...and I'm not even talking about the Mickey Rooney rule, which I doubt your beloved Steelers ever considered.

At least we have fallen south of .500 the last 16 years, where the Browns have lived.

What's the Mickey Rooney rule? You have to drink a beer with every shot? Mickey is an actor not a Steeler family member.

Is it weird that I want to see Baltimore win this weekend, so we could potentially get that Mahomes/Jackson AFC title game?

It's probably the reality in your head telling you the Titans can't carry Jackson's jock.

Or it could be the allure of the 2 most exciting QB's in the league going head to head for a shot at the Super Bowl...

At the end of the day, we are all just football fans...No doubt the Steelers have had the better run during my lifetime. Only a fool would argue that. Yet here you are because you know in your heart that Browns fans are the best football fans. Period.

Ozzie is just waiting for the Alabama Athletic Director's position, in the meantime, he is still at the Castle in an advisory role to Mr. Bischotti :)

I believe you have an owner that wants to win now, he just doesn't have a clue what the hell he is doing.

  20. TopDawg Legend

He's trying...That's more than a lot of teams can say.
