    Wings host the Yotes tonight.

A disappointing year so far, a lot of that could be attributed to the constant injuries on the D. A constant turnstyle from Grand Rapids.

Most notably DeKeyser, Hronek has been a bright spot as well as Fabbri up front.
Athanisiou has been really off and Mantha was out for a while.
Zadina has been coming around lately and Seider is still learning the NAmerican game with GR.
Stevie Y all in on the rebuild and many wings fans can agree, the many years of making the playoffs (23 yrs in a row) didn't allow them to draft high.
As a leaf fan I could relate as we were in dead last just a few years ago with Peter Horrorcheck.

Mantha out 4 weeks, again. Anthanasiou to skate on top line with Bertuzzi and Larkin.

Red Wings actually scored more than 1 goal, still lost , but hey, a good effort.

    Larkin scored, that's a plus.

Nice win for Detroit. SJ was perfect timing as they have been, outside of 1 game, hard pressed to score.

Dylan Larkin opts out of all-star weekend and gets heavy backlash from Brian Burke.

Shut your mouth and go play, you should be getting a speeding ticket on the way to the airport to go play.

He's no different, I guess from a bunch of others who skip that stuff.

Sportsnet's Brian Burke isn't a fan of Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin's recent comments regarding the All-Star Game.

"Please don't vote, I like the days off more," Larkin said to reporters earlier this week when asked about being a candidate for the "Last Man In" fan vote, per USA Today's Helene St. James. "I'm sure there's guys more deserving to go so I'm fine with that."

Burke, a former hockey executive and general manager, did not take Larkin's comments kindly.

"It's an honor to be a part of the All-Star weekend ... You should get a speeding ticket on your way to the airport to fly to this game Dylan Larkin, and you shouldn't scoff at it like that," Burke said during Sportsnet's "To The Point" segment on Saturday.

"A player acquires the right to turn this down like Alex Ovechkin, but that's after he played in about 12 or 15 of these," he continued. "International hockey, all the other stuff he's done, all the playoffs. Once you've done that, you can say no to this game."

Larkin, 23, appeared in the All-Star Game during his rookie season in 2016. He has 10 goals and 26 points in 42 games this campaign.

Burke went on to say that if he were Red Wings general manager Steve Y
zerman, he would have "ripped his face off" for the comments, adding "If you're going to be that stupid, do it off-camera."

I think Larkin is just upset about his season and is being honest. I'm not a big fan of the all-star game, supposedly it's a good thing when small market teams get to host.
