i disagree. last year everyone said ND had no business playing Clemson and got whooped. to me NCAA Football is a 3 or 4 team game. No one in the country can beat Clemson, LSU, OU or OSU but each other. No flies on OU. LSU is just that much better. Last year, no one was beating Bama or Clemson but each other. No one is good enough. ND was 12-0 and got smashed. They're still a good team, just not on the level of a Clemson or Bama last year or now for OSU and OU vs LSU or Clemson. I'm 48 yrs old and watched a ton of college football going back to Barry Switzer in the mid-80's. Seen a lot of QBs...I've never seen anyone like Joe Burrows. Granted his WRs made some insane catches but as a QB, he's the best I've ever seen in college. Considering he played only 1 year of college football and won the Heisman in a record landslide and will go #1 overall in the draft is incredible. I think they destroy Clemson and put up over 50! OSU has a better defense, but they lost, so Clemson won't stop the Tigers.
ISU had no business in that bowl game vs ND. ND needed to play someone closer to their rankings. Would've love to see ND-PSU. ND needs to get out of the ACC or commit to it full-time and be a part of their conference and conference champions pact. As it is now only hurts them when they're not ranked in the top 10/12.
OU doesn't belong in the final 4, that's why they got their ass kicked. At least 5 teams from the SEC would blow OU off the field. OSU and Clemson would both blow OU out too.
that only proves my point. NCAA Football is made for 2-3 teams and no one else. no one else can even hang with these top teams. lets say clemson gets trounced by LSU. OSU gave Clemson a great game and yet Clemson could get blown out by LSU. That's not good for the sport. I think LSU would've blown out 100 teams besides OU this past weekend, so it's not really on OU. And what 5 SEC teams are blowing out OU besides LSU? Like Baylor or any other top 10 team would've made any difference vs LSU Gid ?
A lot of conferences are crappy now. 5 SEC teams OSU, ND, OU, and Clemson are the only teams getting into these Championship playoffs. Oregon might have made it once,
FSU made it a few times when it was the other playoffs. Only a few great teams at the top. The rest are a distant cousin away from them.
Minnesota represented the B1G well, Wisconsin lost in a doozy of a game and them other guys from up North got their hats handed to them. Curious to see how Indiana plays today.
