I could see the wings having a much better second half, Fabbri with a goal.

Weber /Subban kind of a wash. I like Weber but he’s old and injury prone.
He won on Galchenyuk for Domi.
Pacioretty was leaving anyway but he’s still a stud.
Segachev for Drouin was a loss for Montreal

Not a habs defender by any means, Drouin in outproducing Sergachev, especially last season. This season he's only played 19 games.

If Paccioretty was leaving, then getting a young Suzuki combined with Tartar sauce (who is overproducing) is pretty good.

Weber is killing PK this year, the old label can only be used when they are obviously done (lucic, dustin brown). Chara is still doing it at 43, so Weber being good until 38 isn't all that unrealistic. Even if he could still be a solid stay at home with a physical presence who provides veteren leadership.

The Bruins and the habs haven't had the luxury of many high picks the last decade, (except kotkaniemi). I'd say both teams have done a good job to keep relevant, the Bs much more.

Tyler Meyers is on fire, 2 goals and an assist after 1.

    3-0 nucks

Sergachev is more valuable than Drouin, and I'm not even that big a fan of Sergachev's game.

Montreal is overachieving. Couldn't beat a Panthers team tonight down their best (only) two defensemen. They're a wild card team in a conference that most likely won't give them a chance to take a wild card spot.

Fun race for the Atlantic's 2 and 3 spots. Deadline should be interesting. I have full faith Tallon will manage to sink this team for another year.

The only thing I see Sergachev having over Drouin is that he's only 21, but Drouin is young at 24.

Drouin is averaging .65 PPG for the habs and Sergachev is averaging .37 PPG.

Maybe I'm missing something as I don't get much of a chance to see Sergachev in action, I'll take your word for it.

Meyers is slumping now, nothing in the 2nd so far, but still 7 mins left.

Drouin out producing Sergachev?...... hardly, btw Drouin is a 24 year old F and Sergachev is a 21 year old Dman. I’ll take the kid that can actually play D pretty well for 40 points instead of the older F that doesn’t play a 3 zone game that gives you only 50 points.
They did alright in the Pacioretty deal but he is the best player that was included in that deal for either side.
Weber for Subban has worked out for them, sort of. When healthy Weber has been good.
Bergevin has made so many deals and there aren’t many that he’s won and that’s my point. That roster still stinks.

It’s kind of funny that you say you’re not a Habs defender but you seem to blindly be defending a D for F swap based solely on points. I’d bet that all 31 GMs would take Sergachev over Drouin.

Like I said, I'm not familiar with Sergachev, I thought he was a forward.

The Weber deal could turn out to be a real steal if he's still going strong in 4 years. Suzuki is an X-factor.
The habs have shoddy D except for Weber with Romanov in the pipeline.
They've relied on Price and small type point producers upfront
They never bottomed out and have had to rely on savy moves from the FO.
I just noticed that if a couple of their latest moves hadn't panned out they wouldn't be relevant at all.

Sergachev for Drouin could also be debatable, but if I'm Bergevin I keep Sergachev.

You didn't even know that Sergachev was a Defeseman. This is not a topic you should keep going on about...

The Sergachev deal is one of four deals we were discussing. The habs should've kept Sergachev.from.a point of need. Drouin hasn't exactly been a deadbeat, while Sergachev wasn't a ROY candidate either.

Im still waiting to hear why you posted on Bergevin winning his trades in the first place. He makes so many and yet there arent many that he has clearly won. What prompted the og post?

and the Shea Weber deal could also be a real nightmare. $7.87 cap hit for another 6 years. unloading the terrible Subban contract that he bound himself with was a good move by Bergevin but he also inherited someone else's mistake in the process. Habs are lucky theyre not on the hook for the recapture if Weber doesnt finish out this deal.

I posted him winning his trades because Weber, Domi and Tatar have been carrying the team, and these were his latest ones.

The fact they're off the hook for the recapture is a big win.

You spent enough time to look up his PPG, but not his position. Again, anyone would have a hard time taking your trade judgements seriously when you don't even know the position of one of the players traded.

Far be it from me to interrupt a discussion. Just thought you might want to ruminate on your judgements a little more, before you go pushing them on other people again.
