The sad part is that you guys will probably beat the Ravens this season because that would screw the Steelers. You lost last season because it screwed the Steelers. But hey the Steelers didn’t have to be in this situation anyway, but we lost to an inferior team from Cleveland

    It’s true

lol! Nothing sad about that at all. I guess Yinzers will just have to cry into one of those little towels if that happens.

Let's not forget, this is the Browns board. And if we can somehow manage to "screw the Steelers" in ANY way by beating the Ravens, then that is called "icing on the cake".;)

I don’t know if you guys know this but Myles Garrett is allowed at the Browns team facility now during his suspension which means that he will probably be cleared to play next season

Please remain in your seats with your seatbelt fastened until the train comes to a complete stop. Oh, never mind.

Not quite what we had in mind...smh.

Of ALL the teams we've thrown out there since 1999, IMO this has been by far the most disappointing. At least when Hue and Kizer and the rest of that shitshow was flopping around every week, we knew to avoid any expectations of winning. Freddie has been a complete disaster in every sense of the word. That guy has zero respect in the Browns' lockerroom and it shows on the field every Sunday. We can't stop anybody. We can't score. The HC is getting in heated arguments with star players on the sideline on a weekly basis. Mind numbing play calls that make even the most novice fans say "WTF are they doing?". It's just been amazingly bad....If I had to point to a single moment, I'd say it got derailed in the final 8 seconds of the first Pittsburgh game, but quite honestly, I'm not sure if this fiasco was ever even on the rails. Haslam somehow managed to replace the worst coach ever (Hue) with the second worst coach ever (Gomer). smh. He should get a prize for that or something. Maybe we could line-up another "shame" parade? Idk..

Time to start another coaching search? I don't see how they have any other choice....Freddie wasn't ready. It's as simple as that.

There is no argument IMO for Freddie to stay. The continuity we're looking for doesn't look like what we saw this year, and to repeat it would be foolhardy.

Am I missing something? Will we have to wait past Monday to get the word?

All my best to loungers who have been a part of my fandom for years now. Happy Holidays, and warm wishes for everyone.

I'm just frustrated beyond belief with this team...They will always be my team though. Go Browns...It's always important to beat Cincinnati no matter what. I hope they haven't all checked out.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all are full of joy on this day.

The only argument for Freddie staying is that it isn't his fault and, as we all know, it starts with the head coach.

Now, perhaps the players don't have the right chemistry or attitudes to come together as a team, but isn't it part of a head coach's responsibility to build that camaraderie and chemistry?

In the AFC North going into this season, I had Pitt battling Cleveland for the division.

You knew Pitt would have a great defense and with Pig Pen at quarterback for a full season, even without Antonio and LeVon, you never count them out.

I personally thought the Ravens might finish as low as third or fourth depending on how far Cincy fell. After all, this was a rebuilding season of sorts with the switch to Lamar, 2 rookie WR's and a question mark O-line. They had lost four starters on defense including LB's CJ Mosely and Zadarius Smith. Who knew rebuilding the D would take place in week 5? Who knew Jackson would put on the kind of show he has? No one saw this coming.

Cleveland was given all the pre-season hype and either the players started thinking all they had to do was show up to win or they just didn't jell. While I'm sure Odell, Landry, Mayfield and others have their egos, it's the coaches job to keep it in check for the good of the team.

He hasn't been able to do that as witnessed by the sideline arguments.

No way he's back next year. You should have given Williams the shot.

Freddie is a nice guy. Freddie is a fun guy. Freddie is a genuine guy. Freddie cares about his players. Freddie wears his emotions on his sleeve.

Freddie was not ready to lead a team. He may never become a HC. He should get another job, but not a Head Coaching job, not now.

Greg Williams is an A hole, is cocky, is demanding, is hard nosed, but he has one "black mark": the bounty gate year. He will probably never become a HC due to his involvement in that, and his reputation for being hard to get along with.

I see the job Harbaugh, Tomlin, McDermont, and Shanahan have done, and I see "teams". Guys who don't ever look like they don't know what to do next.

Freddie looks like he may not be able to find his car in the parking lot.

Dorsey has to show he is a big enough man to own his mistake, and correct it, before all the talent he amassed gives up or moves on.

NEVER apologize for being a fan !!! We all bought into the hype. The truth be known . . . it was easy for us to buy in after what we've seen so far this century.

Chalk it up to lesson learned. :rake:

I guarantee I'll never apologize for being a Browns fan. What exactly did we learn though? We should never have expectations or hope? Damn, it doesn't seem to matter with this team. At the end of the day this organization comes up woefully short one way or another. And that's as nice as I can put it......

FWIW, which isn't much, I wrote that regretful header before the season started. We are the kings of the offseason, and I get sucked into the hype every freakin year. Not much more I can say, and TBH, I'm okay with the fact that this coming offseason will be no different. There's no doubt they'll come up with some sort of seemingly great resolution to the O-line, and come next August, I'll be spouting once again about how great we're gonna be... Hopefully in 2020 we can transition some of that offseason dominance into the actual regular season.

Beat Cincinnati and finish strong....GO BROWNS! (let's get this '20 hype train started! woof! woof!)
