Unless the Chiefs, Vikings, Packers and Dolphins also all win next week. Then the Steelers are in.

Good thing that the Dolphins are going into Foxboro, even playing NE's backups, they are not going to walk in there and get a win :) (would be totally crap if they did though lol )

Well remember, this scenario is only happening because the Cardinals walked into Seattle and handled the Seahawks. Cardinals are a team the Steelers need to win. Next week they play the Rams who the Steelers also beat so it's 1 win, 1 loss regardless, win, loss or tie.

    Per, NBC

Most of the time, the Super Bowl winner comes from the group of four teams that start the playoffs with a bye week. This year, those four teams will include the Ravens, who have already clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, and three teams still to be determined.

A total of seven teams — the Patriots and Chiefs in the AFC, the 49ers, Seahawks, Saints, Packers and Vikings in the NFC — still have a chance to earn one of the three remaining byes.

The AFC picture is clear: If the Patriots beat the Dolphins on Sunday, they’re the No. 2 seed. If the Patriots lose to the Dolphins while the Chiefs beat the Chargers, then the Chiefs get the No. 2 seed and the bye.

In the NFC there are more possibilities. The team with the clearest path is the 49ers: If they beat the Seahawks on Sunday night, they win home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

The Packers earn a bye if they win out, beating the Vikings tonight and the Lions next week.

The Saints earn a bye if they beat the Panthers on Sunday and if either the 49ers or the Packers lose a game.

The Seahawks earn a bye if they beat the 49ers and the Packers lose a game.

The Vikings have the hardest path to a bye: They have to beat the Packers tonight and the Bears next week, the Packers have to lose to the Lions next week, and the Saints have to lose to the Panthers next week.

If all the favored teams win, the three teams joining the Ravens with a week of rest in the wild card round will be the Patriots, Saints and 49ers. In this NFL season, however, that’s a big “if.”

The bye week would be nice for the Vikings, but that scenario looks dreadful. My biggest concern is the team staying healthy. Already have issues with Thielen, Cook and Mattison amongst others... Cousins comes up gimpy, lord have mercy.

I should have known not to bet against the Eagles at home. Even though they had at least 7 starters missing from their lineup, they had home field with a healthy Wentz, not only healthy, but something to prove also. The Eagles also have 'big game' experience and a defense that lived up to the task.

Questionable calls on both teams, but I give the edge of questionabilty to the Cowboys... I don't know what they were thinking half the time out there.

The Eagles had a key, 3rd n 1 and threw the ball twice, one of the passes, incomplete about 15 yards down field, when at the time Sanders was running wild. If you have 2 plays to get 1 yard, hand the ball to the hot hand, but im just a fan.

In my opinion, the win over Dallas will go along way in unifying and confidence building on a team at just the right time to make them a legit, scary, threat in the playoffs... but at the same time they better not take the Giants lightly either and they should be smart enough not to.

Loved this season so far... lots of crazy shit and surprises.

Dallas also ran it with Pollard on 2nd and then 3rd and 1 on a weird option toss that was fumbled behind the line of scrimmage. Dallas dropped it tons too. I'm just glad for the win.
The best matchup for the Eagles is probably another crack at the Seahawks who are banged up so I'm cheering for the Packers tonight and then the 49ers next week. It was a close game last time but the Eagles couldn't finish. It's their best bet of getting a playoff win IMO.

Seattle's season seems to be over. They lost all of their RBs they started the season with. Penny, Carson and Posey are all out for the season.
One thing that is crazy is that CJ Anderson is still out there. You mean with all the shitty RBs playing this season nobody signed him? WTF? He is a good north south RB and he hasn't played this season? The Rams wouldn't have gone to the SB without him last year.

But, arnt RB's a dime a dozen, especially behind a good o-line? Seattle is more than just a running game, because they have this cat named Wilson.

Marshawn Lynch may come back for Seattle.

NFL has changed or flexed the Eagles and Dallas games to 4:35 pm start times this Sunday. So yes, the Eagles can win the East with a Dallas loss, but they won't know about it as they're playing at the same time. GAME ON.

If he’s retired he can’t play this season.

If he didn’t retire then he could come back and play. I know there’s a rule about retired players because s couple of weeks ago they said Gronkowski couldn’t play because the deadline for retired players to come back had passed

Rules are different for Gronk because he was under contract when he retired.

Beastmode in Seattle, signed, is he ready to go?

If the Ravens lose to Steelers in the Divisional Round after gifting them a win for the 6 seed they'll NEVER hear the end of it. The fanbase won't never forgive management either.

I just realized that the Texans play AFTER the Chiefs. They can rest if the Chiefs win and influence the wildcard race. NFL BLEW IT!

That is erroneous scheduling. The Steelers and Raiders should be furious and demand a reschedule.

The Titans are good and should win if the Chiefs win and thus allow the Texans to rest for the playoffs. Chiefs play at 1pm for some inexcusable reason. I felt good for the Steelers backing in or Raiders even if they pulled the upset. Not anymore.

  18. gidion72 Legend Steelers

They already ruled out 5 players. Ingram is the only one who can't physically play. Calf injuries can be lengthy injuries so they need some of Ray Lewis' antler oil.

  19. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

Nursing injuries or even watching the QB is one thing but if they rest way too many it could matter.

Honestly I felt really good about the Steelers this week until I noticed the Texans won't give a damn when the Chiefs win. Titans should get the W. Raiders probably lose to the Broncos.
