i was there in 89 and froze my ass off. haha. and Because there was no tunnel for the players and coaches to escape from, a fan poured a beer or piss on Johnson's head as the went through an entrance below the fans. Now there's a tunnel, which i think the Vet installed the year after this fiasco.

One part is wrong. The Mayor wasn't the Mayor yet. Wilson Goode was the acting Mayor in 89, because his famous quote with all the snow at the Vet was "blow it where?"

i met him twice. once in the subway when he was campaigning at Broad and Oregon Ave and one on Broad St. He was crossing Broad Street with his entourage and we were going to the Eagles game. haha.

 

Am I alone in hoping the eagles cowboys endd in a tie?

 

It would be interesting but that would give the edge to the Cowboys as I believe they won tbe earlier meeting.

If I'm considering a head coaching job in Cleveland the first thing I'm doing is heading down to Stillwater to talk to every person whoever coached Baker Mayfield. I wanna know exactly who this guy is before I take that job because there have been a lot of conflicting signs at this point. Is he the kid that worked his tail off to walk-on to two different programs and carries that chip on his shoulder? Or his he the guy that soaked up all the accolades of being the #1 pick, got paid and slept walk heading into his second season thinking he had already arrived?

I truly don't know and I doubt many others do either. I would HAVE to know before I took that job.

So that whole Titans can lose out and make the playoffs thing I got flak for even suggesting.... looks almost likely.

 

It was only fitting that the 4 worst teams in the NFL were paired against each other today and they had to go to overtime.

 

I’m a hockey guy first second and third, but football fourth. I’ve enjoyed the occasional football chat. I want to give a special shout out to those involved with the mock draft.

I think there is a lot of nuance that is being glossed over when it comes to why Kitchens struggled in his first season as a head coach.
