i think someone should hit you over the head with a 5 lb iron skillet and send you into 2020. you want need any ganga for weeks! hahaha
So one team MIGHT get to 9-7, the best another can do is 8-8, and the other two teams are gonna combine for like 6 wins. Sorry, Cat, but I call 'em like I see 'em. The division SUCKS. And I never said they were perennially bad - they're bad RIGHT NOW. I never said it would be an easy win, but I completely disagreed with your stance that no one would want to come to Philly in January. EVERYONE would prefer to play Philly than Green Bay, New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco, et al. EVERYONE. You can pray for anything you want - you're prerogative. But to me, all that means is you know your team is the weak sister and you're begging for help. I'm on your side on posts - I just don't always feel the need to post something if I agree with someone (unless there something I felt might be missing and I can add). If I like what someone posted or agree with them, most times I'll just click "Like." If I disagree, I'll post and give my take. I had backed out of commenting to you because overall I like you, and you have a tendency to take things really personally sometimes. HAH! Fuck your HS and fuck the Iggles!
Philly loves to be ugly. Like banging the fugly girl in the. Neighborhood. Wow. Like Will said it’s a win. I’ll take it. Big D next week. Bring the snowballs. Leave Santa at home.
The Cardinals are two seasons away from being the funnest offense to watch on game day so long as they get some help on the offensive line. Kyler Murray is going to be special.
He could be another example of the evolution at QB that Lyman was writing about. Just need a bit more talent around him
Murray is the middle ground between Lamar and Russell. He’s almost ideal in his mix of arm talent and running ability.
Its an interesting thing happening right now in todays NFL. There are a few types of QB/offensive schemes that seen to be working. Lamar is a dual threat who can turn n burn up field, Mahomes, Wilson can run n gun also. In the pocket types, Cousins cant scramble or run worth a lick, but he has a O-Line in front of him that a lot of times gives him all-day to stand back there and fire away... right now its working for him rather well, he has no need to run. You got your Matt Ryans, Mathew Stafford types as well that have success along with Tom Terrific. They arnt much in running but are getting the job done through the air with a step up in the pocket type play. Right now Lamar Jackson is on an island by himself, in my opinion, and probably has scouts and GM's around the entire NFL scratching there collective heads wondering, 'how do we stop him' and 'how do we find another' lol.
Time to eat a little crow... At the beginning of the year I had the Bills at 7 wins this season. At the midway point, I bumped them up to 9 based on Pittsburgh losing Ben and Denver looking very beatable. But the road win at Dallas was massive against my preseason prediction. McDermott is putting together a nice season with a team that still has a few holes in it.
When a team has made one playoff appearance in the century (and that one required an almost fluke play by Andy Dalton), they're not worthy of broad respect. The Bills are building something good. They already have an elite defense. They had a massive reconstruction of the offense this past offseason. I view their holes as caulking that hasn't cured yet. They could be a legitimate SB contender next year. The nice thing is that they've done this without wrecking their salary cap. They'll have money to spend again this offseason. The Bills Mafia has always been lurking around; we're getting close to breaking out. I can only hope that the nation is ready.
Whats interesting about Buffalo also is the changing of the guard that we just might be witnessing. The Patriots will have some competition now and right now. Its interesting to me to see how that division may turn over. Im not saying the Pats are bad or going to just start losing, but I am sensing a regression in their total dominance of that division. Pats may be at the pinnacle of their Dynasty and we are seeing a change where Buffalo becomes king of the hill with Miami and NY scrambling to catch up. Im happy for you, Dan. Will be fun to see them in this years AFC Playoffs... good luck.
Time to eat a murder of crows (look it up). Four months ago I bought into the hype. Baker Mayfield is not the franchise QB Cleveland thought they drafted at #1 overall. To say he has regressed this year is like saying the Titanic took on a little water. Offensively, the sum of the whole falls way short of the sum of the parts. Defensively, these guys play like their paychecks depend upon how many tackles they can miss. Freddie Kitchens is in way over his head. The Browns come into virtually every game unprepared, uninspired, undisciplined and unfocused. Freddie needs to be unemployed John Dorsey is not the roster savant we thought he was. Trading Zeitler for Vernon bordered on criminal. And then he compounds that by ignoring what's left of the O-line.
I thi k I only had 7 wins but everything I said about how they'd improve and have a chance to be to better than that was spot on. It's almost scary. But of course if I said 10-11 wins, or even 9 Tim would call me a homer. Lol
Had him on my FFB team. Used him a couple of times when Wentz didn't have anyone to throw to. Won a game, lost a game. But brought home lots of points both times.
