I saw Jethro Tull at the Forum in Montreal when I was about 14 I think. What a show ... the music, the people, the smoke, the pills ... it completely blew my mind!
Yeah, he's such a great performer. Here's a band with a tragic past with two of the members committing suicide, badly mismanaged, and corporate abuse. I wanted to get the book to read but even the paperbacks are going for $260. One thing I wasn't aware of Pete Ham and Tom Evans had written "Without You" a song that made it to #1 with Harry Nilsson and then #1 with Mariah Carey decades later. I remember in the '70s trying to find their albums in the store and there wasn't any. They were pulled because of a legal dispute of the escrow being pilfered. The only way you could get a copy of their stuff was to buy it used at an outrageous price much like their book today. This would make such a great movie. https://www.loudersound.com/features/badfinger-bad-breaks-dumb-luck-tragedy-peter-ham
Ohhh. Well hell. I didn't know that. He sings okay although I wouldn't go out of my way to hear him again. A singing comedian ... what will they think of next?
