Of course I want to keep going. But the reality is, on my next birthday in August, 2020 - I will have lived longer than any Male member of my family - ever. What I didn't mention in my post is that I also have COPD. This is self-inflicted by 50+ years of smoking and a series of jobs in hazardous environments (supervisor in the melt department of a low alloy steel foundry, superintendent of a plant that ground asbestos based brake pads/linings, and others). Based on what I feel and what I know, I suspect I have 4 maybe 5 years left - tops. I plan to live every one of them the way I want to.
Rock on. I feel 80 is a good age to live to. Hope to make it that far. When your young you never really can understand what older people go through. When your older no one wants to really listen to any of the wisdom you picked up in your life besides other older people. Young people think you’re full of shit just like we did when we were that age. Once you start feeling older death actually becomes something that you have to think about unfortunately. You just can’t live recklessly like you use to.
i have no proof of Heaven or the afterlife, but i really hope there is something else out there after death ? i don't want it to be i die, get put into the ground and that's it. im hoping there's more out there for us.
I quit cigarettes and alcohol now too. The only thing that I use to relax now is marijuana. It’s legal where I live and doesn’t do much more than make you fall asleep and eat
Life really would be meaningless if there’s nothing after you die. It seems as if there are a lot of lessons we learn in life. WTF good would those lessons be if you die when you die? There has to be something else, I believe there’s more after this. Gidion72 the sequel
there are people who were close to death and have near death experiences and feel, see or experience something before being brought back to life. i hope it's all true.
I’ll dig this up 10 years from now when you’re arguing over which poster is a bigger ass on these boards.
I did not know that cremation urns come with WIFI !!! That's good to know (except my ashes will be scattered - thus, no urn)
