Joe I have two teams I like in football, the Steelers and the Georgia Bulldogs and I swear I've never seen you write anything positive about either one of them whether directly or indirectly.
It's easier to notice and remember the negatives. It's just human nature. I've also said plenty good about Georgia over the last few years but I haven't posted much in college football recently.
I never said anything about your coach of the year opinion (I actually agree with you that he is unlikely to get it) and I never suggested you didn't like the Steelers. I was simply replying to your comments about the Titans losing out and going to the playoffs because as I'm sure you were aware when you said it it would require the Steelers to also lose out. That seems pretty unlikely to me based in the last 8 weeks. How about you?
Damn straight it's unlikely. I even said shortly after that I don't expect them to lose to the Jets. Bills and Ravens sure but the Jets is tough to imagine. It could have been the Bengals x3. The whole point was that it was cool that the Titans are sitting at #7 and they could get in the playoffs by losing out. It's just wild.
If the Steelers win out with duck, I guarantee that Tomlin will win coach of the year. But winning out wouldn't be easy.
Honestly I don’t think either a Steelers win or a Bills win would be a huge surprise. Has the feel of one of those 15-12 games, 2 great defenses will be on the field. I am still trying to figure out how Joe was the one that was butt hurt though....Happen to agree, it is crazy for the 7th seed to be able to lose out and still have a path to the playoffs. Extremely unlikely, but the fact that it’s a possibility is pretty neat. Better chance the Steelers win out than the Titans losing out to make the playoffs.
The NFC is top heavy but they will have the worst team in the playoffs. The AFC won’t put a team worse than 10-6 in the playoffs
lets say philly goes 9-7 and gets in. who wants to go to philly in january ? same for the steelers ? who wants to go into pittsburgh ?
ok ? so much for that. just bc their record doesn't show it, the Eagles did beat a good Packers team in GB. Playing in Philly in the winter isn't a easy place to play regardless of their bad record. i don't think 30 teams are lining up to come to pennsylvania in January!
If it means getting into the playoffs, half of those 30 teams that are in the NFC are more than willing. The other half would gladly go to Pittsburgh.
Green Bay's wins this season: Bears Vikings (by 5) Broncos Cowboys Lions (by 1) Raiders Chiefs (w/ Matt Moore, not Mahomes) Panthers Giants Redskins (by 5) Green Bay is an overhyped team. If that's the win you're hanging the Eagles' cap on, Catfish... well, get ready to catch your cap.
He couldn't hang his cap on the Packers game because he shoved it up your ass when his Eagles stomped your Bears.
Eagles went into Buffalo and stomped the Bills too. They were able to slow down NE to 17 pts but didn't win. Imagine if they had WRs for Wentz to throw too ? haha.
And they also lost to the 3-win Dolphins, 3-win Lions, and 4-win Falcons. And needed OT - at HOME - to beat a 2-in Giants team. Dallas held New Orleans - on the road - to 4 field goals. Held New England - on the road - to 13 points. Who cares? To quote Bill Parcells, they are who their records say they are. Both are sub-par teams.
this has nothing to do with records and their losses Axe. Who cares what the Tuna said. look at the conversation. we were talking about if Philly and Pitt got in and if Philly hosted a playoff game in January, who would want to play them? You're from Philly, so i know you know how much the weather sucks ass here in Jan. Dallas has a nice comfy dome stadium to play in. I personally think Dallas is a more talented team than Philly at key positions. To me, teams shouldn't think it will be an easy win over the Eagles due to their losses or record. Come Jan, the Linc is not an easy place to play. Neither is Heinz Field. It's not an automatic win in the playoffs against Philly if the Eagles win the East.
