Actor René Auberjonois died on Sunday, his son, Remy Auberjonois told CNN. He was 79.

The cause of death was metastatic lung cancer, his son said.
Auberjonois was known for his myriad television roles on shows like "Benson," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Boston Legal." But he acted in theater and film, notably as Army chaplain Father John Mulcahy in Robert Altman's 1970 "M*A*S*H."

Caroll Spinney, the puppeteer who brought beloved "Sesame Street" characters Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch to life, died on Sunday, according to Sesame Workshop.

Spinney passed away at his Connecticut home after battling dystonia, a common movement disorder. He was 85.

Philip McKeon, the former child actor best known for his role on the CBS sitcom "Alice," died Tuesday, a family spokesman said. He was 55.

McKeon died in Texas after a long illness, family spokesman Jeff Ballard said in a news release.
He was most recognizable as Tommy Hyatt, the son of the titular character on "Alice," played by Linda Lavin. The show, which ran from 1976 to 1985, followed Alice, an aspiring singer who worked as a waitress at a diner in Phoenix.

McKeon also worked at the Los Angeles radio station KFWB News 98 for 10 years, Ballard said. He later moved to Wimberly, Texas, to be closer to family and for the last several years hosted his own radio show, Ballard said.

"We are all beyond heartbroken and devastated over Phil's passing," the spokesman said. "His wonderful sense of humor, kindness and loyalty will be remembered by all who crossed his path in life."

The actor Charlie Sheen also reacted to Mckeon's death on Twitter, calling him a "perfect gentleman and an ebullient spirit."

McKeon is survived by his mother and his younger sister, the actress Nancy McKeon, Ballard said.

Your body starts having problems that make you feel old. You still look relatively young but don't feel it. I tell 50 is like that deal breaker for your body.

 

You get 50 or 55, and that's when things start going south. Your standing in the shower taking inventory and it's, what's this ? Where did that come from ? WTF's going on here ? Never a dull moment. My brain's still trying to tell me I'm 23, but the body says otherwise.

 

due to 2 bad knees and 2 protruding discs in my back and 1 has a slight tear in it, i feel old as dirt. i don't look my age though. im always tired and feel beat up. i nap after work almost every day too and im only 48.

 

Start fixing your diet, and hit the gym (or take up some sort of workout regimen). I'm 55 and can bench more and run farther and faster than I could when I was 40.

I personally didn't see the effect of aging until I had a stroke 4 years ago. Up to that point, I was able to do the same shit I did my entire life. Since then, I've lost about 40% use of my left hand, added five stents, dropped in weight from 225 lbs to 180 and no longer have the stamina for continuous physical effort.

I'm in my 72nd trip around the sun and still on the right side of the grass. I still do the same dumb shit . . . only slower.

 

But you still want to keep going. I don’t understand people who don’t want to live. I don’t care how much shit you go through, death just doesn’t seem very friendly.
