why didn't he just retire ? he has 2 SB rings and nothing left to prove ? why put yourself at there for that dumpster fire of a team ? to be benched and sit and watch that all year ? why ? hang it up and go out.
Because he was still the starter to start the season in his final year on his current deal. He might not even want to play anywhere else. He said before it was starter or bust. So he has 3 options: retire, start elsewhere if anyone is interested, or return to the Giants on the cheap for a year then reconsider all the options. These last few weeks should be considered his retirement tour. Only way it isn't is if he completely lights it up. I'm talking the first half yesterday, every half, at the least. It's a 4-game tryout.
why? even if he somehow lights it up? why put yourself through all of that next year ? fine play out the season but he has nothing left to prove. NFL season is a long ass grind. Why do it at his age for a new team or God forbid the G-men in 2020 ?
he isn't that good now to replace Mayfield. That's assuming a lot Gid. Maybe Eli 4-5 yrs ago, i doubt he could do it now. He should've thrown on that swiss cheese secondary of philly. he did for the first half but not the second. he looked like old Eli in the second half. thank God for the Eagles he did.
agreed. i dont think the Kraft video team was there for anything other than their entertainment content, but it certainly wasn't smart.
hey - you guys will know the answer - is Antonio Brown a FA? Is he cleared to play in the NFL this year? If so and if it's a "yes," why the hell aren't the Eagles calling him right now ? With losing Jeffrey last night, it's desperate times for a healthy WR in Philly. Why not give AB a chance? He's better than any WR on the team !
I would take him and AB back right now. I think the duck would lead us to the SB with those two as playmakers.
Technically yes he is, but once he signs for a team, there’s a possibility he will go on the commissioner’s exempt list until his legal matters are resolved...there’s been no movement because he’s not on a team so no need to add a headline if he’s not signed with anyone.
Earl Thomas is a hypocrite. He says the league needs to protect Lamar Jackson more. Fuck Thomas, where was his concern for QBs when he knocked Rudolph out. Rudolph's season went down the tubes after that hit, wouldn't it be appropriate if a Steelers defender knocked Jackson out and the Ravens became one and done because of it.
The latest information isn't great. I logically can't understand why the Pats would cheat here but the "evidence" apparently isn't sounding good. I guess we'll have to wait on further news. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...g-signals-cameraman-wanted-to-delete-footage/
