I don't think the Steelers sneaking into the playoffs would trump any of those other teams. Only Gruden would be able to carry that story.

 

If the media is talking about Tomlin then he is in the conversation. Probably will be Harbaugh but none of those other coaches are being talked about by the media. If the Steelers go 11-5. I guarantee you Tomlin will either be first or second in the coach of the year voting

 

As i have said tomlin needs to beat the bills and a the ravens (in a meaningful game) to win coach of the year.

 

yes he should. team lost their QB and in the off-season their 2 best players. he basically has a new qb, rb and wr all starting. He should be considered.

 

The Titans currently sit as the fist team out of the AFC Playoff picture. They could lose out and make the playoffs. Crazy.

You talk about the Titans losing out and making the playoffs, that's only possible if the Steelers lose out. Neither of them is losing out. The playoffs qualifying will be interesting with the Texans having lost to the Broncos.

 

This is an odd statement. Don't get me wrong. I go into every week thinking the Steelers may lose but they're 7-1 in their last 8 games and you're thinking they could go on a 3 game slide?

Butt hurt seems to need some defining here.

It means taking offense because someone has said something perceived to be negative about one's team. But, where the comment would be innocuous if applied to any other team.

I applaud Joe's correct usage in this context.

Gotta love it. First I say Tomlin wouldn't win coach of the year (I see the point with the missing players but I personally think he'd be passed over since he had 9.5 wins last year) then I say the Titans have some crazy way to make the playoffs if they lose out despite currently being in the playoff picture. Because that scenario involves the Steelers losing out, even if I didn't bring it up directly, it means I hate the Steelers and am butt hurt.

I think it's comical but I should stop here before the butt hurt people think I'm butt hurt about their butt hurt.
