After everything the team has given the fans the last two decades, they end up getting booed at halftime yesterday.

 

Most ungrateful and entitled fanbase and city. They've been spoiled.

 

Then again Yankees and Lakers fans are pretty bad with the whole entitlement and casting off their team thing when things aren't looking like they can win a championship.

 

I'm sure it's not everyone
and just a select few. If I was Brady I would retire after this season with a nice short press conference. Just walk up to the podium, lift my arm with the middle finger and say,

"enjoy your football games from here on in, I'm gone, later."

 

Habs fans were exactly the same there for while before the new generation fans had no memory of before '93.

 

When the NFL scheduled the Texans and Titans to play twice in the final three weeks of the season, it couldn’t have known that the divisional race would come down to those matchups.

That’s how things have worked out, though. The Texans have gone 4-3 over their last seven games while the Titans have gone 6-1 to close the gap ahead of their first meeting in Week 15. That will be one of the biggest games of the weekend, but not the only big one.

Sunday night will see the Bills and Steelers square off in a game that will help determine the Wild Card pecking order. The AFC South team that doesn’t win the division could factor into that race as well, so there’s still a lot to sort out even if the top of the conference is pretty well settled at this point.

Here’s how the entire playoff picture looks after Week 14:

LEADERS
1. Ravens (11-2) They’ve clinched a playoff spot and can wrap up at least the AFC North by beating the Jets on Thursday.

2. Patriots (10-3) Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs means they’ve now lost to all the other division leaders in the conference and they’ll likely be facing some of them again come January.

3. Chiefs (9-4) The offense hasn’t been as prolific as in the past, but they are AFC West champs again.

4. Texans (8-5) Getting blown out by the Broncos isn’t the preferred way to prepare for the surging Titans.

5. Bills (9-4) Their defense held up well against Baltimore, but the offense took a step back from Thanksgiving.

6. Steelers (8-5) Beating the Bills would make their improbable Wild Card bid tougher to stop.

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
7. Titans (8-5) The Titans posted 552 yards of offense on Sunday, so they may be peaking at the right time.

8. Browns (6-7) Sunday’s win was their fourth in five games, but it’s shaping up to be a case of too little, too late for Cleveland.

9. Raiders (6-7) Oakland’s been blown out three straight weeks to go from hopeful to just about hopeless on the playoff front.

10. Colts (6-7) Their inability to close out the Buccaneers all but closed out their playoff chances.

11. Broncos (5-8) They won’t make the playoffs, but they may have found their quarterback.

ELIMINATED
12. Chargers (5-8) No painful loss this weekend, but the Chargers are out of hope all the same.

13. Jets (5-8) Adam Gase beat his former team and that should allow the Jets stay out of the AFC East cellar this season.

14. Jaguars (4-9) Losing 45-10 to the Chargers showed the Jaguars need a lot more than a quarterback change to right the ship.

15. Dolphins (3-10) A pass interference review that went the Jets’ way and a failure to score touchdowns helped push them to a loss on Sunday.

16. Bengals (1-12) No winning streak for the Bengals as they got back to their losing ways against the Browns.

With all due respect, the only truth to the rumors is that these crack reporters on the NFL beat take what a player may say, apply their own interpretations as to what was said (including "body language") and then spin it to generate clicks.

 

Respectfully, we don’t know that to be the only truth.

The basic reality is a possibility that Odell wants out of CLE, and considering his numbers on the year combined with the importance he places on his personal brand I really don’t think it’s that far fetched.

He walks to the beat of his own music.

People are definitely into over analyzing everything OBJ, but I’m personally past the point that I can no longer consider the idea that he may have expressed to more than one person that he would prefer to be in a different situation.

 

It's bad THIS YEAR, Cat. THAT's the point. The Bears aren't playing the 2017 Eagles or the 1993 Cowboys.

I wish hed just realize that he should be happy enough of the 2017 Eagles are there to still give hope the the team for the season. And honestly who really cares about the division? Care about your team and be grateful the division sucks. This isn't votes and SOS like in college. What people think doesn't matter if you can pave yourself a path to prove otherwise.

 

well it's not over yet. Both can still have a winning record. 2010 NFC West can't claim that fact. haha.

Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw… kicker news.

The Cowboys didn’t move to replace kicker Brett Maher after working out kickers last week, but Maher couldn’t avoid the ax after this week’s workouts.

The team announced on Monday that they have waived Maher in order to make room for Kai Forbath. The veteran was one of three kickers the team worked out. Tristan Vizcaino and Nick Rose, who also worked out for the team last week, were the other contenders.

Forbath hit 1-of-2 extra points and the only field goal he tried while playing for the Patriots in Week 13. That was his first game action since being released by the Jaguars in February.

Maher missed his 10th field goal of the season in last Thursday’s loss to the Bears. He was 49-of-66 on field goals since taking the Cowboys job in 2018.

 

The immediate word after last Thursday’s game was that Bears linebacker Roquan Smith‘s pectoral injury didn’t look good.

It doesn’t look any better a few days later. Bears head coach Matt Nagy said at a Monday press conference that Smith will miss the rest of the season after tearing his pectoral.

Smith was injured on a touchdown run by Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott that capped the first Dallas possession of the game. He had two tackles before the injury and ends the year with 101 tackles, two sacks and an interception on the year.

The Bears have also been playing without Danny Trevathan, which left Kevin Pierre-Louis and Nick Kwiatkoski to handle inside linebacker duties after Smith went down last week.

Saints/Niners

The only thing that I learned from that game is that both teams have an unstoppable offence. Defenses beware. Your not good enough. Ravens are not a shoe in for the Lombardi.

 

They not even a shoe-in to make it to the SB.
