Lifetime games between the Bills and Cowboys, the team with the weaker record going into the game has never won.
The Cowboys suck.... and will not be in the playoffs this season. The Entire NFC East really sucks honestly but someone has to sneak into the playoffs to lose in the first round and it will likely be the Eagles. I saw in an earlier post talking about Philip Rivers. His numbers are good because of his longevity of his career. I put him in the class as Kenny Anderson, good individual stats but couldn't ever come through in the post-season. He shouldn't get into the HOF but then again Kurt Warner is in there so anything is possible.
Eagles sucked last year until late. I'm hoping for a repeat return to relevance still. At least it isn't way too hopeful and delusional considering it happened last year under similar circumstances.
Also benched 3 times in his career, never had the full confidence of any of his teams. Congrats to him for having 3-4 great seasons and a bunch of crap for the rest Obviously it was enough for a gold jacket but I am no fan of his.
...And thank you Miami for returning the favor in beating Philly. Dallas doesn't deserve the NFC East title; Eagles deserve it even less. Times like this I half wish for re-seedings. Best six teams get in.
They do...but it doesn't mean much if it isn't used (or coached up) properly. Seeing the talent Dallas has - both sides of the ball - only makes this more frustrating. There's really no way they should be less than 8-4.
I think the biggest disappointment for a team is the 4-8 Chargers. They are a bad break, bad luck team. Loses came by 7 points or less.
Unlike other bad luck Chargers, this team didn't look like they were better and had bad beats but were trash and somehow stayed close.
Would they ever award the coach of the year to a team with a loosing record? Consider this the Dolphins currently sitting at 3-9 face the jets, giants, and bengals over the next three weeks which could honestly could go either way. Lets just suppose they win all theee of those to get to 6-9. Their final game is the patriots but the game might mean nothing to the pats at that point. If the dolphinsmwere to go 4-0 or even 3-1 down the stretch would you not have to give Flores consideration for coach of the year? He was handed a team that many expected managment to be tanking for tua. Their over under at the start of the season was 4.5 (Im guessing most took the under) so if they were to finishh with 6 or 7 wins they would of course go over. Yes I know absurd to even think about but also think about the fact the Dolphins team is showing more fight than the much more talanted cowboys.
Considering what happened there I'm sure they get votes but we all know they only vote for trendy guys that have a great record that aren't expected to win it that year unless they really do something crazy. You need 10 wins and a playoff berth to be considered by the AP. I'll go by team just in case people don't know some names. These are the teams that traditionally are going to be voted on: Baltimore Ravens Buffalo Bills San Francisco 49ers Green Bay Packers Oakland Raiders (if they win out and make playoffs) One of those 5 will have the COY.
I do think you have to throw Tomlin in that discussion...if the Steelers make the playoffs...he's been getting a little buzz in the national media this season, not all of it good, but buzz nonetheless
