well said LOAJOE! My issue is with Roseman and the cap. He promised spending this summer and it didn't happen. Then the trade deadline passed with only 1 lower move. I understand you gotta extend key players, but they needed some FA they sat on their asses about and watch them go elsewhere. You can't win by doing nothing and letting everyone else get better. Look at Dallas-they went out and got Cooper last year. Smart move. Eagles faults lies with Roseman in my book. He failed to make the team better when he had loads of cap money to do it.
I still feel that Shurmur is getting another year. The guy he replaced only lasted 2 years (not even) but that team was expected to be good. Of course losing at least 10 of the last 12 won't help. It will depend on if they think they can get a coach they have their eyes on this offseason.
I'll give you a like despite calling me LOAJoe. Better than LA I guess. You "tried". I should probably just change my name to "Joe" to go along with "Tim and "Will"...err "Willie".
My understanding is that rumor came from the Garrett camp who see's the writing on the wall and is trying to generate false demand. There were reports from credible sources saying the Giants are nto investigating that option at all. I wouldn't put it past Mara and Gettleman though. Gettleman was the pro personnel director back when they signed Garrett to be the back-up QB. Rivera getting fired I think makes Garrett much more of a long shot though. I
I would be willing to patient with Shurmur if it just felt like this team is bad. But it feels like they are poorly coached. There is complete disarray on the field over and over again. Players don't seem to understand their assignments. When they do understand their assignments they are rarely put into position to succeed. Barkley runs up the back of the center on over half of his runs. They are not even trying to get him into space most of the time and the blocking up the gut has been abysmal. This team, even with Jones at QB, should be able to pull 5-6 wins against the schedule they are facing. But they keep inventing new ways to lose games. Shurmur and Bettcher both seem unable to adapt their schemes at all. It's ugly out there. It's actually hard for me to assess if the players stink or not because the team is obviously so poorly coached.

Dallas Cowboys DT Antwaun Woods was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, and cited for possession of paraphernalia in Frisco, Texas.
The Cowboys can't tackle, they can't sustain drives, Dak looks shell-shocked.... they just made Tribpukesky look like an All-Pro tonight. Yeah, the Eagles will win the NFC Least by default Embarrassing and Jason Garrett should be fired tomorrow morning. No excuse for this pathetic showing on Thurs night football.
Too bad for the Bears they aren't in the NFC East. They'd run away with it. No Vikes or Packers to deal with.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was mad after Thursday’s 31-24 loss to the Bears. But not mad enough to make a coaching change. Jones told reporters the Cowboys just have to play better. “We’ll line them up here next week,” Jones said. “We’re going to go practice, and we’re going to try to win a football game. Everybody that’s in here that’s healthy will be playing, and everybody who is in here coaching will be coaching. We’ve just got to play better.” The Cowboys lost their third consecutive game and have dropped seven of 10 since opening with a 3-0 record. They are 6-7 but remain atop the middling NFC East. But the Cowboys don’t look anything like a playoff team much less a team that could go on a postseason run to fulfill Jones’ fairytale dream. The owner seemed to realize that watching Thursday’s game. “They took it to us,” Jones said. “We’ve just got to see if we can step in here and win a game. I don’t care if we stay in contention all the way down until they have the playoffs, we’ve got to start showing our fans, more importantly, show ourselves we can do the things to win games.” Jones criticized the coaching staff after the team’s loss to the Patriots in Week 12. He was asked Thursday if that criticism has contributed to the Cowboys’ lackluster play. He didn’t appreciate the question. “The same way that my praise of them is contributing,” Jones said. “You may have noticed that I’ve been praising them, too. So much for words. Seriously. So much for words.” Dak Prescott said earlier this week it was put up or shut up time. It seems it’s shut-up time in Dallas. source; PFT
Personally i think jones needs to fire garret now. Of course i felt he should have been gone a lone time ago but ever since he called garret out the cowboys have actually looked worse. Last night they looked like there was no fight in them and he looked like a guy who knows his job is gone.
