Flyers get scrappy and open up a can of third period whuupass on the Leafs. Chased them back to the border with a huge 3rd period. They score an empty net goal and tack on more for good measure. 6-1! Hart stood tall !

 

Proud times in flyer land lol.

Hayes has been a nice surprise as is Niskanen. Nisky is the Def QB they needed 3 yrs ago to mentor Ghost and Provorov. Justin Braun isn't that good, but he's not a liability either. The young kids are contributing, but none are setting the world on fire. They will be a typical 20 goal scorer in today's NHL one day. None will be a true superstar like Crosby, Ovi, McDavid, Matthews, Tavaras, etc. That's ok as long as they contribute over the whole season and be consistent. I said before the Flyers will rise and fall on the shoulders of Carter Hart. He has made a huge difference this year in net and Elliott, healthy, is a nice #2. The 9 goalie turn style last year was pathetic and a joke.

 

I just ran into this lady from Slovakia, she hardly knows a word of english. I motioned like I was holding a hockey stick and said,"Zdeno Chara.".She started laughing,then I told her that around here we don't mention his name much.
