That was a great half for the Bills... Maher' FG attempt was deflected, that really hurt. Halftime 13-7, Buffalo
Tony Romo is pleasure to listen to. I've liked some announcers, and I've been bored by others. But Romo has just established his command of the game. The Bills had a 3rd & 4 and Romo not only knew what play the Bills would run, (a pass), but he specified the receiver (Cole Beasley). So what did I do? I fixed my eyes on Cole and waited for the first down catch. Masterful.
The dumbest timeout ever became genius because every inch counted for that kick. Sean McDermott rightfully does not trust Stephen Hauschka. Buffalo will certainly have a new kicker by next week.
Super gut-check time for the Cowboys. Playing at home against a solid defense and trailing in a must win game.
I mean, I can see why it was called from the ref's perspective. It's just that the ref had a shitty view of the play.
They called that but didn't call the really late hit on Josh Allen earlier in the game where he ran a couple yards short of 1st.
You're seeing them at a good time. The roster overhaul on offense required about a half-season to come together cohesively. Josh Allen. He's an extremely hard worker; he's athletic, and he really gives a shit. He's got a very stout line in front of him. They're for real. The D. Little needs to be said. Just watch 'em; they have the ability to smother and frustrate any team. It's nice for the Bills to get national exposure in the 12th week. I think they've surprised a lot of people today. But they haven't surprised Bills fan, or smart football guys like Joe (see his comment from early this morning on NFL - Random Opinions).
It's crazy that all those teams listed except for the Bucs have some realistic scenarios to make the playoffs. Even the Panthers depending on who and how some teams get to 10-6 with them. Jags only have one because of the division race, although same could be said for the Cowboys and Eagles but at least they control their own destinies.
That's whats cool about this playoff format... there is a realistic shot for a bunch of teams, lots of things have to happen for the outsiders looking in, but it keeps us focused on every week as if it already was the playoffs and I like that. Fan bases still have hope and a reason to stay interested and focused. Other side of the coin that some will argue is the playoff pool gets watered down with mediocre teams, but hell, if a WC team wins it all, which they have, they desrve it and that's why they play the games. This is great for the NFL also, fan based interest ='s cha ching, cash money, homie.
Saints clinched the NFC South title yesterday. The Ravens can't be too far behind to clinch the AFC North.
