Two more seasons and Jackson will demand 45 million a season. Same with Mshomes for the Chiefs. But the real reason the ravens are almost unbeatable now is the defense. Since you guys got Peters and Smith came back your defense has been as good as your offense. The Good news for the rest of the league is the Ravens are going to have to make a lot of tough decisions on how to pay everyone the next couple of seasons. The Steelers should have beaten you guys last time we played, a very bad roughing the passer penalty that wasn't really roughing the passer was the only reason you guys won that game. I can't see the Steelers having any chance now if they had to play a meaningful game against you at the end of of the Season because your defense is a hell of is Lot better than it was back then.

I'll agree, the defense is ridiculously underrated right now. And not even because people think they suck, but because the offense is now must watch tv and getting all the hype, which they deserve.

Baltimore will have to make some decision financially with Smith and Peters. Thankfully, they have almost 60M in available cap space. They save 6M by cutting Carr and 7M by cutting Jefferson. That's 13M that could go to Peters. With Jimmy's injury history, he could likely sign for about 8-10M. If they do the cuts I mentioned, that still leaves the team with just under 50M in cap space. If they don't, then about 35M which still isn't bad.

By the time Lamar and Mahomes are due the price for QBs will be 45 million

Probably. When a bum like Goff gets 110M of his contract guaranteed, then Mahomes and Jackson will very likely get at least 40M. Ugh

Jacksons run game is too much for the league to handle now

    Skura done for the season

If I recall, he went down in the 1st qtr (?) against the Rams. Apparently, whoever replaced him did a good job.

I think the replacement was Bradley Bozeman. That makes our line that much thinner as Bozeman is a good center, but he was even better at guard especially on the pulls and movement. That puts Bozeman at center and I assume would bring Hurst in at guard. I did not think Ben Powers was ready to step in, he was messy last time he played for any period of time./

Never mind, I see it was Patrick Mekari. That is a better scenario for our line. Hopefully he can hold the point of attack. I assume that if he was ok against Aaron Donald he will be ok...

Yeah, Mekhari didn't get his name mentioned once that I can remember, which is a good thing for lineman. It just messes up our depth as I don't think we have a backup center now

Line depth is a problem for everyone at this point in the season. Currently, we don't have an adequate backup center for J.C. Tretter either.

I suspect that Jimmy will resign for a team friendly amount of money hopefully, but he also knows the effect that he has on this defense as well. Marshall Yanda is likely going to retire after this season, especially if the Ravens were to win the Super Bowl. That will free up some cap dollars I imagine. Brandon Williams contract is the albatross on the roster right now, and I haven't looked at it to see if they can save anything there or not.

Peters will need to be resigned though, and they will need to find a couple more LB to come in and fill in spots, oh and also another edge LB to get after the passer.

Too many restructures on Williams. He'll be a 14M cap hit next year, but if cut he saves about 4.5M but leaves a 9M cap hit. They may just keep him, especially if they decide not to pay Pierce.

Jimmy has said he loves the Ravens franchise for taking a chance on him when he came out of college with all those red flags (although they were all from 2 years before his draft year). He also has to respect the fact he was allowed to finish his entire contract without them asking him to take a pay cut. Hopefully he remembers all that when it's time to re-sign.

Yeah I was afraid of that with Williams. Matt Judon is playing his way out of Baltimore this year, I don't believe that they would pay him Terrell Suggs type of money? BUT, Baltimore does have cap space available this coming season, It is possible that they might view him as a Suggs and pay him accordingly. We all know that he is the best rusher of the group by far.

Brandon Carr is likely to be let go with their focus on signing Peters as Tavon Young should be available again to hold down the slot by pre-season. Chuck Clark is playing himself into an extension obviously and they will need to resign Peanut (Onwuasor).

McPhee might be resigned if he comes cheap enough of course. It looks like Eric Decosta will have his plate full this offseason for sure.

In my mind, Baltimore is fast becoming an NFL destination. By that I mean, with the way Jackson has ignited the NFL this year, and the reputation the Ravens have as an organization, free agents are likely to want to come here. The question is, as always, at what price?

    Here's my take:
The Ravens will find a way to pay Judon. He's earned it.
If Jackson continues as he has, he isn't going anywhere. He will be renegotiated before his rookie contract is up.
By the time Ingram has played his contract out, it will be time to move on. Maybe pay Edwards, maybe not.
Hurst and Hollywood are both 5th year option guys. If Hollywood excels, he'll be paid Hurst may be left to explore his options. Boyle is signed for a few years
    Andrews is the keeper.

We're going to have to find some money for Peters if they want to keep him. And I can't think of any reason they wouldn't unless he's a disruption. and down the road, Humphrey.
Smith might test the waters and give the Ravens the right of first refusal.

The Ravens have plenty of skill players for the nest few years so I think we could all agree that in this draft D and the Oline get the attention.
Free agents will be, as always, at the right price, but will some take a little less to play with Jackson?

The Ravens have always been competent at reloading. Now, with a stocked immediate future, and the prospect of free agents and the draft, I think the sky is the limit with this team.

As long as Lamar stays healthy.

Jackson won his 4th offensive player of the week award for this game. He's one shy of tying the record for a single season and has 5 games to get it. The two above him, tied at 5, where Cam Newton (2015) and Tom Brady (2007). Both won MVP those years. Both also lost the superbowl those years
