I have a suggestion for all participants.

STOP piecemealing your picks in. Managing a contest such as this is hard enough as it is. (I know, I ran one just like it on CBS with 40 players.) Give Babyfan a break and submit all your picks at one time. It's only natural to have 2nd thoughts about a game and change your mind (I've done that myself a couple of times). Now, imagine trying to keep track of 14 to 16 picks a week from 20 to 25 players, then add in 30% who submit them in 2 or more posts and then accommodate a few more who changed their mind and its no wonder why Babyfan misses a pick here and there once in a while.

It's actually quite remarkable the scores are as accurate as they are !!!

If I were one of those conspiracy theory guys, I'd be screaming the fix is in, the fix is in.

But no.

Now I got Kyreal right with me.

Catfish a game back.

And Staris three games back.

Now it gets interesting.

The cream always rises to the top.

We first agreed to allow people to make changes to their picks because, as you said, it's natural to have second thoughts on occasion. If you make a practice of posting twice that does create more work for me. For some it's understandable because their lives are ultra busy but if you can manage it and only post your picks the one time, I would also greatly appreciate that.

So after I finished the Leader Boards I wanted to share these thoughts with all of you.

I occasionally make mistakes on the Leader Boards. It happens. I am extremely rushed on Tuesday mornings because I have to be in town (30 minute drive) for 9:30 to teach Tai Chi for 2 hours. I have Tai Chi programming to do on Tuesday mornings as well as the Contest Leader Boards. I also have to cook breakfast and make lunches and suppers for my husband who is a long distance trucker. I have had a friend living with me for 2 weeks who had surgery on her colon 2 weeks ago and there is a lot of extra work to do to ensure her comfort.

I do make mistakes and I am always very sorry when I do. I have just finished redoing the Leader Boards to reflect the corrections that I made. I just ask that everyone is a little patient with me if they find a discrepancy in their totals.

If in the future anyone has any problem with their totals please address it to me either on the board or through DM. I was not aware that I had made a mistake on SoCal's totals because he didn't bring it to my attention. That's okay, mistakes happen.

I created this contest 11 years ago with Lombardincoke because we thought that it would be fun for people to relax and play in it. I enjoy the back and forth and the fairly polite smack talk. I enjoy that many of you are very competitive because that's a healthy way to be. I definitely want the contest to be fun but I also want the totals to be accurate so I really do appreciate being told when a mistake has been found. But please for the love of all that is Unholy, remember that it's just a fun contest.

I joined then on CBS Days........and when CBS Stopped all threads I missed 2 years on this site and I really missed everyone.

When you first started Baby's Pick-Em on CBS there were NO Thursday Night Games .

I would like too throw in my 2 cents too help you out.........Less Work for you.

ELIMINATE Thursday Night Games from the weekly Pick-Em

That way WE the player's in Babys Pick-Em HAVE to our Pick's done before NOON on the Sunday of each WEEK.

It's definitely not against the rules CBBLUE, but if any members are able to do all of their picks at one time that would be really helpful. Also I have nothing against people making changes to their picks. That makes the contest more exciting in my mind.

 

Don't worry about it CBBLUE. I was just surprised by your post because you've always been really friendly towards me. Ergo the short reply I posted. You're very welcome and I wanted to say that I've always been really happy that you choose to play the contest every year. That's important to me CBBLUE.

 

One of the people who I miss the most from CBS is Einsamer Wolf. LOL The guy was brilliant and as true to a narcissist as you could ever want to meet. I know that @BearsWillWin feels like I do. Wolf was crazy but I think he had a brilliant mind.

 

Yeah, don't spend any money on those boots for me Larry, I wouldn't wear them for all the money in the world. LOL

I don't mind the TNF games, it's the members who have trouble remembering to post them. And actually this season there have been far fewer missed picks than in other seasons before. I don't feel like it's a full series if we cut the TNF out so with all the gratitude in the world for your very kind thoughts and attempts at bribery LOL I'll just keep the TNF games on the schedule.
