Eagles had a shot at the end. Wentz was off target multiple times but on 4th down he had his man and of course he dropped it in the endzone. Shitty job tracking it too.
If your referring to the Hopkins no PI call, I agree. I watched that about 100 times and for the life of me cant see what the hell the review monkeys in New York where looking at. That was a clear PI. On the other hand... even if the Texans score there, I believe they still get blown out by a Jackson lead dominate Ravens team. But, they need new blood in New York as too many, waaaay too many calls are being blown in the booth. I don't get it either... thay seen the same damn thing I did and still cant get it right... its a travesty.
why bother? that idiot Pederson didn't run the ball in the seconds half. the Eagles don't have the WR core for Wentz to make passes over 15 yards too. Plus he was in a funk last night as well ! I blamed Roseman for not doing anything the last 6 months and it showed. The game was winnable last night if Roseman got off his ass and made some moves. Now they need a miracle to win the East.
Miracle? Eagles so far are looking okay still. They don't control their own destiny though because strength of victory(SOV) would come into play if they both won out with the Eagles winning the rematch. DET NE LAR vs GB NYJ SEA Due to a tie by Detroit it would likely end there before needing strength of schedule (which would go to Dallas bc they played the Saints instead of Atlanta). Considering the schedule the Eagles should be fine no matter what happens next week. More proof? Look at this if they lose to Seattle and Dallas beats New England: The Cowboys would then have to drop another game. Losing any game but the Rams game would give the Eagles the common games tiebreaker, but if the loss is to the Rams then it would go to SOV tiebreaker. It'd be NE and DET vs NYJ and GB. Dallas would at that point lead that by half a game (Pats losing is accounted for). Still very much alive. If we beat Seattle but somehow lose to the Dolphins then that sets up a weird scenario (again, assuming both teams win out in division except H2H). New England losing only to the Rams gives Dallas common opponents tiebreaker. Them losing only to the Bears gives the tiebreaker to the Eagles on conference record. Them losing only to the Pats likely gives us the SOV tiebreaker as the GB game won't be countered by the Pats game. Them losing to only Buffalo is trickier but we are likely still okay as they would gain New England but we gain a solid Buffalo team in the SOV tiebreaker. TL;DR: Eagles should be fine as long as they are within a game of Dallas heading into the rematch with the Rams not being the Cowboys' only loss if we lose to Miami. Both teams winning out or only losing to the NFC West could also hurt but it likely favours the Eagles.
I think 10-6 is doable for the Eagles, but they have to beat the beatable teams remaining, like the Giants, Redskins and Dolphins... get a W against Seattle and/or Dallas and they are looking real good. PS - 10-6 should be good enough for a WC.
why did Pederson abandon the run in the second quarter? impossible to win like that. Game was winnable as Brady didn't look himself and the Eagles Def was pretty good. Wentz missed a ton of throws to WRs who aren't very good. I said it last month with the GM failing to add anyone let alone a decent WR. It all shows now as the team needs so much help. Will need a miracle run now to win the East.
after what i saw last night in a winnable game, nothing is an easy win! not for them and not in the NFL.
