Guy Lafleur was the first player to score 50 goals and get 100 points in six consecutive seasons.
He just had successful heart surgery yesterday.

After scoring 47 goals and totaling 121 points for the Red Wings during the 1974-75 season, Marcel Dionne was dealt to LA for Dan Maloney, Terry Harper and cash.

Dionne went on to record over 50 goals six different times in 12 seasons for the Kings.

It's funny how he dips down to 32 points with the Avs at 33 years old and they think he's done. Then he ends up having 94 and 90 point seasons, and an 80 point season at 39 years old

i think 4 players scored their first NHL goal via penalty shot in the old format of a real penalty shot and not the shootout. who was the first player to do it ?

When Plante passed away in '86, he was living with his wife in Switzerland. There was a team of kids playing there in a tournament from Quebec.
They all showed up to the funeral and lifted their sticks to form an arch outside the church. They carried the coffin under the arch.
