The Higgins hate from these coaches/GM continues to enrage me.

Had to look for myself... back to 1999 they've faced a QB making their first-ever NFL start eight times. They're 1-7 in that span.

    1999 - Akili Smith, CIN
    2001 - Matt Hasselbeck, SEA
2006 - Andrew Walter, OAK (lone win)
    2011 - Andy Dalton, CIN
    2012 - Kirk Cousins, WAS
    2014 - Ryan Mallett, HOU
    2016 - Carson Wentz, PHI
    2019 - Brandon Allen, DEN

SAS has touched on this before and I think it's an important point. Last year's offense was designed and installed by Todd Haley. He has done that now in 4 places (Ariz, KC, Pitt, Clev). This year's offense was designed and installed by Kitchens. He's never done it.

And much to the disdain of Browns fans I'm going to once again remind you that the success the Browns had on offense last year came against a number of bad teams.

Putting "genius" and "Kitchens" in the same sentence isn't fair IMO.

    Look at this play design...

Three of your targets are seven yards behind the LOS.

I’d like to wish good luck to the Browns this weekend - but, not too much luck. The Buffalo Bills at 6-2 may being doing more with less (although the Bills o-line is not an Achilles heel). I won’t be watching the game that day.

I do have my priorities. I’m on my way to Stockholm to watch the Buffalo Sabres vs. Tampa Bay. I’ll be about 3 rows off the glass and will be wearing my #26 50th Anniversary sweater. Look for a smokin’ Swede with the same sweater - I’ll be the lucky bastard sitting next to her.

    Go Bills! Go Sabres!!!

Awesome! The Bills look really tough this year. Hopefully we can get our shit together and give you a game.

I like what the Bills have going, and I'll be pulling for them on Thanksgiving Day for sure. Plus I have Singletary in a couple fantasy leagues, and he looks like a player that's really going to bust out in the second half of the season. Hopefully he doesn't torch the Browns too bad on Sunday.

Enjoy your trip Dan. Sounds like a blast.

Yeah, I got this trip in the Spring. I thought at the time that I’d retire in two years. We just got a house in Portugal and everyone asked (after seeing & hearing about Portugal: “what are you waiting for?” With no good answer for that earnest question, I said fu(£ it and retired a month ago).

It’ll be easier to get to games in Sweden, Finland, etc. once we’re over there. Regardless, it’s gonna be a blast.

Doors closing in Denver. Have fun!

Pretty cool, @KilkennyDan . I'm a tad jealous. I like the idea of travelling to all those European countries and them being a short plane trip away - like travelling from state to state in the U.S.

    Small World

Sean McDermott was the 4 to 5 favorite among the coaching search committee to be come the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns to pair with the new, trendy, analytics-forward front office. Instead, Jimmy Haslam pulled rank and hired Hue Jackson. The rest, as they say, is history.

    Browns by 10.

Brown's losses this season versus opponents defensive ranks (total points, total yards, pass yards, pass scores, rush yards, rush scores).

    Rankings: TP / TY/ PY / PP / RY / RP

    Tennessee: 7 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 15 / 6
    Los Angeles: 15 / 12 / 19 / 12 / 10 / 14
    San Francisco: 2 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 14 / 3
    Seattle: 22 / 25 / 28 / 8 / 13 / 31
    New England: 1 / 2 / 1 / 12 / 6
    Denver: 9 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17 / 10

    Buffalo's ranks... 3 / 3 / 3 / 2 / 19 / 25

Browns continue a rotten streak of playing the hardest schedule in the NFL and the toughest defensive schedule in the NFL, *BUT* the obvious weak spot in the Buffalo game is the running defense. Kareem Hunt is back from suspension and Nick Chubb continues to be the team's lone bright spot on offense.

    Run. The. Ball.

Fun Fact: the coaches just don't get it.

"Find a way to get him involved"? Here's a thought... play him ahead of Antonio Callaway and KhaDarel Hodge.

One of the beat reporters really need to ask about the elephant in the room - the rumor that John Dorsey is the one making calls on the game day roster and not just the 53 - which is confirmed, but the active 46.

This is a very good listen:

Maddening because Freddie was soooo good at this last year. For whatever reason, they decided to take a Drew Brees and force him to become a Peyton Manning.

Also... why would you mention the "T-word"? You know those thin-skinned, snowflake mf'ers over on the Bears' board love lurking here and now that you've riled them up they're going to be trolling hard.

They may not like Ritch Mirebisky today, but they dislike non-Bears' fans telling them the truth about their QB a season ahead of time just as much... maybe even more so.
