Jerry Jones: Team was feeding off of Michael Bennett...

Defensive lineman Michael Bennett began his first game as a Cowboy by standing on the sideline for the national anthem for the first time since 2016.

Bennett had been staying in the locker room during the playing of the anthem, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he’d spoken to Bennett before last month’s trade that brought him to Dallas and expected him to do what the team asks of all their players. It wasn’t the last development to please Jones on Monday.

Bennett had a sack, two tackles for loss and four quarterback hits in the 37-18 victory.

“I thought he was outstanding,” Jones said, via ESPN.com. “I thought he was really impactful in there. I thought you could see the team in general were feeding off of what he was bringing. Of course, very likely he was feeding off what [DeMarcus Lawrence] was doing out there and what [Robert Quinn] was doing. Still, he really is a great addition for us. I don’t use that word much, but he’s a great addition.”

The Cowboys had five sacks overall on Monday night and gave up just one touchdown over the course of the evening, which meant the team could overcome a sluggish start to improve to 5-3 on the season. If Bennett’s presence can spur more performances like that in the coming weeks, trading for him will be a clear addition to Jones’s win column.

LA Chargers moving to London ?

I'll never understand besides all the schematics and numbers many of you posters provided on why the NFL and NBA want a team overseas? I personally just don't think it will work from a logistic and travel standpoint. I think it would be the downfall of the league if they did that as I don't see a lot of players wanting to leave the US to play their home games in rainy London. Better them than me.

Just a bunch of click-bait hot air from cBS, lol. Might, maybe, could, just a few words that preceded statements.

Spanos is the real problem and the move to LA is a complete disastrous failure. The team should have stayed put or worked out something in the California area, like Sacremento or something. Having the Chargers in London is even worse than LA and a whooooooole bunch of stuff would have to be addressed for such a collossle move. There should be laws against this kind of thing, dammitt.

Just my two, but hell, what do I know?

The Bears...did not play well in the first half of that game. And I'll leave it at that.

We actually didn't get a chance to get together - he had been planning on staying in town through Tuesday, but wound up having to leave right after the game.

Los Angeles Chargers owner Dean Spanos emphatically shot down a report from The Athletic that his team has been discussed for a possible move to London.

"It's total f------ b-------, OK? We're not going to London," Spanos told reporters Tuesday. "We're not going anywhere. We're playing in Los Angeles. This is our home. This is where I'm planning to be for a long f------ time. Period."

The Chargers moved to Los Angeles ahead of the 2017 season and currently play home games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. They will move to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood next season, which will also be the home of the Los Angeles Rams.

The NFL played four games in London this season with two games at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and two at Wembley Stadium. The NFL has played 28 games in London since 2007.
