I already said why I posted what I did. Last chance. You care to tell the truth now or are you going out with a whimper?
Russel Wilson off to the best start of his career, with 14 touchdowns, no picks, and a passer rating of 124.7 through six games...
Meh. Dallas not only shouldn't have lost to a team like the Jets, it shouldn't have been so CLOSE a game that they needed a two-point conversion in the last minutes to try to tie it up. Really reprehensible that after two losses - one of which saw them not even show up for the first 40 minutes - that they don't bother to start playing until halftime again.
Question about that game - maybe someone here can help: On the 2-point conversion Dallas attempted to try to tie the game, a defender was draped all over Jason Witten. Couldn't that play have been challenged, and if not, why not?
I think it has to do with the two minute warning. I'll have to double check but I believe the rules change during that period.
“After the two-minute warning of each half and during overtime, the Replay Official will stop the game to initiate a review for pass interference under stricter criteria than for other reviewable plays to prevent excessive game stoppages,” the league said in a statement posted to the Twitter account of NFL Football Operations.
That's what I was wondering, thanks. I didn't hear anything during the game about that play being reviewed; hoping it was.
It’s become quite obvious that anything short of straight up murdering a guy is not going to get a call made by replay that wasn’t made on the field. That said, considering a) Witten shook the guy off and b) Dak had no shot at making the throw with Adams coming free on the blitz, I’d say that was a good non-call (JMO).
