I wonder about his attitude sometimes and if he might be a tad bit cocky, lol. I think Baker is Baker's worst enemy right now and im not sure how he can address that. Maybe coaching can get him on track, but he just seems to me, and im no expert, that there is too much going on in his head... he seems edgy or angry and not relaxed. That could just be his nature also. He has, in my opinion, the raw talent needed, but there is a short somewhere in the execution.
That O-line isn't doing Mayfield any favors. It's extremely bad right now. But Mayfield and others on the team gotta stop giving other teams extra motivation to wanna beat them. Why would you not shake hands at the pregame coin toss? That's a high school level immaturity that isn't needed. Mayfield deserved that ass kicking last night.
Not so sure Baker snubbed anyone after watching some vids on the www, but they arnt real conclusive, I couldn't find any clear evidence Mayfield snubbed Sherman.
Yeah on a second look it almost looks like it's Sherman snubbing Mayfield and not the other way around.
I take back my comment about Baker earlier....still think he deserved the ass pounding he got though. Just because.
I don't know if it his maturity level or cockiness level. Mayfield seems all happy when he's doing well and a sulky kid when he's not. High School and College ball is over now. Time to be a pro! Tom Brady has thrown INTs and lost 3 Super Bowls. It happens. Players win and lose games all the time. You are no different. Blow off the bad play, int, or dropped ball and get them next play. I think this is a huge thing for him. He focuses on the past play and not what's ahead. He's very talented and young and he came turn it around. Question is - will he?
Wouldn't surprise me if Mayfield's publicist manufactured this story in order to move the crosshairs.
there's a video on twitter that shows the camera behind all the browns at the handshake and they shake hands. no idea what sherman is talking about ?

Well, Dallas plays a weak Jets on the road this weekend but still about a TD favorite. If Dallas happens to lose this game then I will stand beside you that the Cowboys have issues. (Coaching, preparation).
UPDATE: Through 5 weeks now, 31 teams have an opponents W/L record better than the Patriots. {edit} Before someone chimes in and says "of course they do - they played the Patriots", I don't include Patriots games in their opponents' W/L record. Thanks, @Torgo
Even if the Cowboys win....it doesn't mean they don't have issues. Team with issues can still beat bad teams.
There are numerous kinds of issues which a team can still win despite them. Too many to list. I mentioned only two kinds. Coaching or preparation. If the Jets beat Dallas on Sunday, then in my opinion, it's bound to be low performance by the Cowboys, or some plays that just went the Jets way.
Well.....when a bad team beats a good team it's almost always because plays went their way and the good team performed poorly. So I don't really see a revelation here. Wins don't mean a team doesn't have issues though. And losing to a good team doesn't mean you didn't perform poorly. Yes the fact you faced a good team is part of the reason you performed poorly....but to an earlier point in this thread....saying your team performed poorly against a good team isn't poor sportsmanship or whining.
Dallas SHOULD be a significant favorite. Dallas is a good team (supposed to be VERY good), while the Jets...are not. Cowboys already have issues. How significant they are or how quickly they can clean them up is another story.
I gave an example earlier on that point. Last year, the Saints lost at home to a weak Tampa team, 48-40. This is a game the Saints should have been able to win, they didn't. The game was awful, not because it went different than I wanted, but the Bucs were making mistakes and the Saints made horrible mistakes. This is much different from Dallas losing to the Saints and the Packers. I don't see it as two bad teams beat them because of their low performance. On the other hand, if the Jets beat them for a 3rd consecutive loss, then there is apparently a problem with Dallas regardless who they play. The lone loss the Saints had so far this season was 27-9 loss to the NFC champs Rams in LA. The Saints didn't play well enough to win even before Drew Brees went down. They didn't play any better after that either. I mourned the loss of Brees much more than losing the game but I didn't use excuses of poor performance either. In the NFCCG in February, there was a very publicized no-call that otherwise would have given the Saints a 1st down in FG/TD range. It seemed the media covered that play 24/7 for days, and the rules were changed after it. BUT, the Saints still had the opportunity to win it in OT. But an interception and failure to stop the Rams drive won the game for them with a field goal. How would it sound if I went around griping the Saints lost because of their performance and that the refs cheated? Good sportsmanship?
