True story....I had an uncle on my Mom's side of the family that played high school football with Baugh in Sweetwater, Texas.
My father played against him in an "exhibition" game. My dad played on a semi-pro team and played a game against the Boston Redskins in a game that was a USO fundraiser.
Josh Allen = Terry Bradshaw Baugh was an all-pro QB, DB and punter. Most gifted athlete to play in the NFL
To be more precise . . . The game was organized before the Redskins moved to D.C. They were actually the Washington Redskins by the time the game was actually played. Baugh was a rookie.
He also played semi-pro basketball and played the Celtics many times. Back in those days, it was quite common for pro teams to schedule "scrimmages" against the local area "company teams". I used to have a ton of photos but lost them all in a flood in the 1970's.
Well hopefully he can get to the playoffs then because that was the only time I'd consider him great. Like a switch was flipped.
100 years of NFL football. National MNF audience. You would think that ESPN would, at least, mention that the two teams playing are the sole survivors of the old All American Football Conference that merged with the NFL in 1950.
Terry played pretty much the same as Allen in the beginning of his career. You know he won a MVP award with 20 Ints?
