True story....I had an uncle on my Mom's side of the family that played high school football with Baugh in Sweetwater, Texas.

 

Josh Allen = Terry Bradshaw

 

My father played against him in an "exhibition" game. My dad played on a semi-pro team and played a game against the Boston Redskins in a game that was a USO fundraiser.

Baugh was an all-pro QB, DB and punter. Most gifted athlete to play in the NFL

 

To be more precise . . . The game was organized before the Redskins moved to D.C. They were actually the Washington Redskins by the time the game was actually played. Baugh was a rookie.

 

That's awesome.

 

He also played semi-pro basketball and played the Celtics many times. Back in those days, it was quite common for pro teams to schedule "scrimmages" against the local area "company teams". I used to have a ton of photos but lost them all in a flood in the 1970's.

 

It was so long ago that they were known as the Washington Papooses back then.

 

Well hopefully he can get to the playoffs then because that was the only time I'd consider him great. Like a switch was flipped.

 

call me when he has 4 Super Bowls wins, 2 SB MVPS and 0 LOSSES in the SB.

You would think that ESPN would, at least, mention that the two teams playing are the sole survivors of the old All American Football Conference that merged with the NFL in 1950.

 

Well . . . At least one of those two teams played like they belong in the NFL.

 

Terry played pretty much the same as Allen in the beginning of his career. You know he won a MVP award with 20 Ints?
