In a sport where wins and losses are determined by how many points you score or give up....the Patriots, on average, are giving up half of what Buffalo currently is. 6.8 per game to 14. And when they played head to head...the Pats defense was better.
The Bills and Patriots played each other and they didn't play vs the same offense now did they? The Bills' offense isn't equal to the Pats' and they also didn't have to lose their QB to a dirty hit Patriots' opponents have scored 327 points on the year. The Bills' opponents have scored 469 points. And the Bills played the one game with Darnold, the Jets' highest scoring game. Also Josh Allen got taken out in the Pats vs Bills game. From watching the games and looking at better stats right now it's the Bills > Patriots defense.
I reference my post above and the Bills are 2nd in yards allowed vs a tougher schedule to this point. Pats are great but the Bills are better at this point.
QBs don't play defense....do they? No team plays the same opponents at the same time...that's a useless argument because it can never be apples to apples. Even when you play the same opponent you're doing it on a different day at a different time and injuries are different and so on. How can a team give up 142 more points and be considered better? Josh Allen doesn't play defense. A defense can only be judged by how they personally perform.
If strength of schedule is all you have....and QBs....your argument is dead before it gets off the ground.
The Bills have played the Jets, pre-Jones Giants, and Bengals. Not exactly teams that are putting fear in anyone.
Bears you are just ... wow. You sound like you are proving my point with the 1st part and with the 2nd part you need to reread it. The Bills opponents have scored 469 on the year vs everyone. The Patriots opponents have scored 327. That big difference cannot be accounted for by the Pats' own games alone. But vs the Redskins, vs the Dolphins and vs the Darnold-less Jets (although the Bills don't get much more credit playing against him) really do inflate, or is it deflate(deflate is funnier) those Patriot numbers.
QBs don't play each other is a funny point. Defenses don't too and that's my point. Defenses play offenses and that is all this was about. Have you tried politics? You'd be great. Anyways I'm off to an appointment.
Sorry I misread. But do you think part of the reason the Pats opponents total points is so low....is because they've played the Pats? Certainly not but it factors into it. Pats are surrendering 7 points a game....Bills 14. When they played head to head....the Pats were better. Buffalo turned the ball over 4 times. NE 1. I don't care who was under center....that results tell you all you need to know right now. You obviously have your opinion and you're entitled to it. There are no stats or results that will back you up currently.
I said QBs don't play defense. Last I checked it's been a long while since they did. Like when Lyman was in grade school.
Ya because 7x4 =28 and wow that still leaves the grand canyon. Okay I'm off for real. This won't go anywhere so I'll just stop.
You're gonna be late for that appointment. Buy a new calculator when you're on the way home. Let me know if it tells you that 7 is more than 14.
