Preseason home game tonight. Only $5 to get in in one of the best venues for affiliate hockey around.

A 5 hr drive plus $150 for a hotel room, that's worth the $5.

 

How far is Brampton? ECHL hockey is a different game; you should check it out. Meanwhile, you forgot to mention that you’d get to see Toledo, OH.

 

Brampton isn't very far, only about a half hour, I'm there often. The Battalion and Beast share the Powerade Centre. I also have the Marlies ten minutes away, the missisauga steelheads are 20 mins away as well.

 

The only non-NHL hockey games I've been to were in Seattle (Thunderbirds). Usually a good show.

 

I've only been to a few Marlies games.
My first choice for live hockey would be the leafs followed by the marlies and sabres.

Martin Frk just hit 109.2 mph at the AHL all-stars hardest shot competition.

A 2012 Wings 2nd round pick is currently in the Kings organization playing for the Ontario Reign.

 

Chara had the hardest shot before this at 108.8 mph, now this is 109.2 mph.

I watched the 3rd period of the Marlies game... good stuff, but a tough loss for Toronto.

 

Liljegren should be ready to come up soon.

 

Young Tim may prove to be a career AHL’er. Just saying what I think.

 

When it comes to a 20 year old defenseman on the farm, it's anyones guess. He's having a career season with 29 points.
I have him as a 4-7 D in about 2-3 years.

 

You know him better than I do. I’m just going more on a hunch than anything else from what I’ve seen. I just think there’s something lacking that’s hard to put my finger on. I’m not ragging on him or the org., and I certainly don’t wish him any ill will.

 

I think it's that he doesn't project as a standout on the defense. His offensive skills have improved but he doesn't project as a standout there either.

A 4-7 D would be someone hardly noticeable, unless he has glaring errors.
