i get that but 3 straight road games twice in 2 or 3 years? i think it may be back to back years? certainly they can figure something else out? if it was every 5 - 7 yrs cool. every 2 or 3 years?
the fans? the players? the team personnel? to be on the road 3 straight times twice in either back to back or within 3 seasons is a lot.
It's not back to back years...it's twice in 3 seasons and what happened in 2017 has no affect on 2019. Unless you think any players that were there in 2017 are still tired from those plane trips 2 years later.
my point of twice in three years was how many other teams have played 3 straight road games in that span ? mix it up. have every team do it. the chances of winning 2/3 are difficult. forget winning all 3.
And if the games were spread out and two weeks apart....the chances of winning all 3 remain about the same.
Dallas has had back-to-back road games preceding their annual Thanksgiving (Thursday) game - short rest. Last year it was a Monday nighter followed by back-to-back road games, then a Thursday game.
i agree Axe-that's shitty. like the NFL couldn't make one of them a home game and someone else switch that doesn't play on Thanksgiving?
The Bears played 3 games in 12 days last season with the 2nd game being a Sunday night game and the 3rd game being the early Thursday Thanksgiving game. These schedules will never be perfect.
Every team is gonna have some sort of gripe. Schedules have gotten more complex because of bye weeks, travel to Mexico/London, Thursday games...
i agree that is shitty as well. that's a ton of games in a short amount of time. where the hell was their bye week at ?
great. we don't have to go crazy with the money. i would send you some philly cheesesteaks but they are not good if they're not eaten when you get them. haha.
They're just okay when they are fresh ha. Jim's on South Steet is good though. I'm down for what stakes, or steaks, you want.
That's the weekend I'm getting together with my group for fantasy football (site TBD), but if it's in the city (still TBD) and you're around, we could grab a drink or two.
