That throw was awful. A couple of his deep throws were awful. Blatantly missed a wide open receiver early in the game. Stared down his #1 read all night long. Just all kinds of bad.
I agree all around except for the Oline. I thought they were much improved last night. Against a piss poor defense but I didn't think they were bad.
The girlfriend has become a huge fan in short order. In week one, I very animatedly explained to her how Trubisky is incapable of moving through reads, and how we saw it last year but expected improvement this year. I showed her how he just stares one guy down from snap to throw on damn near every play (do you only need one hand to count the exceptions, this season?). She hasn't watched much football in her life, and yet she could plainly see it last night. It's so incredibly obvious. And it's obvious that, if you're a defense, you bracket ARob and you're good. That's who he's throwing to most of the time. On top of that, defenses are leaving one safety back, and everyone else is at the LOS. Again, obvious for her to see. When Trubisky can't complete a pass past five yards, why is it necessary to defend any more than that? If she is so easily seeing it, well... gotta wonder how coaching staff didn't come into this season waving red flags, and being more prepared. This shouldn't have been news to them. We hoped he'd get better - coaching staff had to know that he didn't, well before week one.
