As long as I can safely party without harming myself or others, I'm not shitting my pants, and my dick still gets hard, I'm all in for sticking around for a bit longer.
But those are the 3 deal-breakers... it's basically my 3 rules for sticking around at a party/event too.

Man, quite the run on 70's/80's musicians lately.

I can barely wrap my head around the idea Ric Ocasek was older than my parents. Much less that he was 5 years older than Eddie Money, who’d been playing with house money (pun somewhat intended) for probably at least a couple decades. RIP to two of my faves of that era.

The Cars early stuff was real cutting edge electronic, classic stuff. They sounded more British than American in some ways, except for Ocaseks vocals.

Then again they fit right into that new wave sound right along with Blondie.

I saw the cars at a concert in 1979. It was called champagne jam. It was like ten bands. The cars were way better than any other band from Boston at that concert that day. Aerosmith was the last band at that concert and by far the worst sounding band on the stage. They sounded like they were so wasted or something and didn’t know how to play music.

Aerosmith don't even remember the 70s they were so hammered all the time. The time period of '79-'81 was probably the best time in music ever, if you count all the classic albums that came out plus new bands.
