i reported this a few months ago that Malkin was unhappy with Phil and called him a locker room distraction. this is not really new news.

My point was; It appears Malkin and Crosby are calling the shots, not management.

From my understanding, TEH PHIL and Malkin were prank-pals. Surprised to hear this, to be honest. If it is true, how it is being reported sounds very plausible. I can definitely see Crosby calling his preference as well.

I would say Crosby is calling the shots, when he caught wind of possibly dealing Geno he stepped in and put a stop to that.
Pens were left with one option and a low return.

I don't think it's ever a good idea to go to war with your franchise player, unless you're looking to cut ties and do a rebuild. I'm guessing a 38 year old Crosby wouldn't be carrying too much weight, so the clock is ticking.

I see #87 going to the Penz front office very rapidly post-retirement.

Too bad he can't get a share of the ownership like Mario, he made a killing.

sad day for me. my cat Tux, who just turned 11, looks thinner and hasn't been himself lately. i took him to the vet this morning and it's bad news. he has cancer and a large mass in his stomach. surgery can't save him. he's not going to live much longer. he lost 3 lbs, so he's not eating a lot, so they gave me some meds to help him eat a little more. once he digresses i have to put him down. im a huge animal fan, and i've had him since he was 4 weeks old. im heartbroken. as much as my sobriety is important to me, my cats are more important. they are my buddies. to see one dying knowing he doesn't have long left is harder than i thought. it's only been an hour since i came back from the vet and im a mess. very sad.

That's sad. I've only had mine for a few years now and I've imagined having to put them down and it sucks even thinking about it. I can only do just that for how it must feel when it's actually happening. Hopefully it's peaceful and painless and maybe it's for the best if it come at a home a bit before an appointment would have been made. Keep it company. If your cat tries to hide look for it because they try to hide their body when they think it's time.

I remember putting out a post two years ago that went something like this.

    Projected cap hit
    Matthews $10M
    Marner $9M
    Nylander $8M

This was before JT, so I was off by $2.5 M, this is no surprise and was known well in advance.
