It will be interesting to see how Skipper does with the pass rush starved NYG vs what I think is a player wasting a roster spot in beloved Holton
Sure hope Holton pans out now. You know... this Mara-Rooney marriage thing isn't working for me anymore.
This move just pisses me off honestly: Jayrone Elliot was brought back to the 53 man roster. If they were going to bring a OLB to the 53, why did they cut Skipper in the first place??? Yes Elliot had the strip sack TD return against the Panther scrubs, and that was exciting but Skipper was doing it in all pre-season games, and in training camp according to SteelersDepot. Hope everybody that was clamoring for Holton enjoyed what they saw: a feeble attempt on a deep ball, and non-existant on a punt team that gave up 10+ yards a return. I know I need to let this go because it's over and done with, but it is very frustrating. The Steelers other move will be rejoiced by many: The Steelers signed their future savior at QB (extreme sarcasm btw) Devlin Hodges to the practice squad. Wish he would've gotton more PT behind a decent OL, but with the competition between Dobbs and Rudolph there wasn't much of a chance for that.
Skipper was the number one player this preseason in the whole league according to PFF. Of coarse he will clear waivers. WTF was I thinking.
If I recall, the media was talking about him like he could be James Harrison part 2. You can't get that kind of press and hide on the PS. Steelers messed up big.
We should just decimate the entire team for more WRs. Never know when the next AB is gonna pop up, right?
