This game was very simple: Trubisky is not able to move through his progressions, nor is he able to throw beyond ten yards with accuracy. You can't be an NFL QB if you can't do those things. It's really not complicated. And, frankly, this should have been as obvious to Nagy and Pace as it has been to us.
You hold GB to 200 yards passing and 1 TD and lose?? It’s going to be a long season. So glad Trubisky and the offense skipped the preseason. They looked really ready.
Packers own us That’s what it all boils down to And more so than anyone else...that’s on the McCaskey family Sell the fucking team you bunch of fucking turds
How the fuck did the Bears hype up his accuracy? That sucks almost as much as his inability to go through progressions and his pocket awareness. We passed on Patrick Mahomes. Can you imagine if we had him with our defense? That needs to be the narrtive now. The trade up for Trubs rather than sitting back and getting Mahomes.
You can’t rewrite history. The narrative now is who will be picking the next QB and will Nagy be around to coach him. I don’t see how Trubisky comes back from this. Watching his presser was almost as bad as watching him play. I swear if he said practice one more time.
Trubisky & Nagy looked outmatched tonight . Worst part is I like Trubisky too but he's a 1-2 read QB and Green Bays D no longer sucks. Not gonna throw in the towel on the kid but he's got to improve dramatically over the next 2-3 games. Robinson was working Williams all night you keep feeding him to they figure how to stop it.
Trubisky is not mentally capable of being an NFL QB. We saw it when he came out, and now in his third season, we see no change. He is not and will not be an NFL QB. I think we still win this game if our coaching staff doesn't shit the bed, though. I wasn't on the thread in-game, but I saw our coaching staff repeatedly putting us in positions to lose. Pagano: On the TD drive for Green Bay, Deon Bush was left playing SS in a coverage role. Wasn't this why we signed Clinton-Dix? Bush is not a good cover man - if he's playing, it should be as a third safety to play within 10 yards of the LOS, nothing more. Rodgers threw over him twice for the drive and score. Goldman was off the field for a considerable amount of snaps early in the game. Irving was in the game for considerable snaps. Look, I get resting your guys when they need it, but I was concerned they were injured, the substitutions were so frequent / lasted so long. We routinely had bad personnel out there, and I cannot understand why. Nagy: Patterson is not a good player. He's all hype, and while he's "versatile", he's not actually good at anything. He was included in the game plan far too much, especially in moments like a crucial 3rd and one, when he's given the ball out of the backfield instead of one of our talented RB's we brought in. Sowell is useless at TE. Whatever hand shake deal kept him on the roster, it was a bad one from the get go, and it was easy to spot for amateurs watching practice. Shaheen is a useless player. He is wasting a roster spot. He was a reach at the time, and he's proven nothing beyond that. Skrine is not a worthy substitute for Callahan. Whatever playcalling magic Nagy has been keeping Trubisky alive on for the past year, he clearly left it all at home. If it wasn't a shallow crossing route, or a comeback route, or a RB outlet dump, it wasn't a completed pass. And, while Trubisky didn't help, you can't become so predictable that the gameplan can be written on a post-it note, without change. Bad decision making, lackluster playcalling. If Trubisky is so bad that your offensive game plan has to be that limited, you should've gotten a different QB beforehand. This should've been obvious. It has been to the rest of us. We have a defense that is worth all the hype, respect, and admiration possible. We have an offense that cannot score more than three points. Sounds about right.
I'm in except Bray isn't even on the roster. This is why I have been even-keeled and expected this disappointment, unlike the ladies I've been with but that's their problem. I will say I didn't see what Mahomes had but I regret not taking Watson. Boom this right here^^^^^ The Buc's game ring a bell? Boom again^^^^^ It's defense or bust Triple motherfucking BOOM!!!^^^^ While he may possess close to the talent in his arm perhaps even with more accuracy than Jay Cutler he tunnels those receivers exactly like he did, he may not force the throws like he did but he isn't scanning the field going through progressions. He isn't looking to make things happen he is depending on his sole target to make things happen. We're fucked. Boom yet once again^^^^^ Not this one it's typical not an exception I said 10-6 or 9-7 and I'll stick by that for now. I still believe in that defense. But but but I saw him nail those barrels in camp that were standing still with incredible accuracy when Glennon and Butt fumble couldn't. I won't argue with this or anything else you wrote as you are spot on, but even the most incapable Qb has a tight end you can lean on except this team because even my autodraft landed me that mental fuckin' midget Burton yeah I didn't know we were playing two tight ends in the league and I would have benched his stupid ass, except I only drafted two well fuck me! BUT the karmic universe has a way of equaling things out as I was playing BWW and he had Mitch going for him. So there's that.
Thank you Bears. First and last time this season i stay up all night, bag 4hours sleep before a 9.30 and spend the day feeling like a fucking zombie. No more running myself into a brick wall for you country stupid motherfuckers. Writing was on the wall at halftime and no one on Offense was smart enough or competent enough to pull them out the nosedive. And its not like the Packers are even a good team. That was a middle fo the road Defense that rolled you pricks. Remember back during the rebuild that wasn't a rebuild Pace when Pace said he wanted to build a team to contend for multiple Champioships? Yeah, fucking hilarious. Please tune in for your next winning season in 2025.
Say what you want about the shit offense but the D was fucking amazing. First game of the season you gotta keep the guys fresh and Pagano did an excellent job of that. If that effort was the result of routinely having bad personnel what the hell would good personnel do? We win 3-0? 15 rushing attempts in what very well could be the lowest scoring game in the NFL this season is criminal. Nagy should be fined and suspended based on that alone. Back to square fucking one with the QB position. I know there is a lot of season left but even I’m not that optimistic. Fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkk!
At the time I wanted Watson as well but it sucks knowing we had our pick of the lot and chose the worst of the 3. And again, squandering another great Bears defense.
Other than Trubs, before the game I was so excited to see what Montgomery could bring to the table and in his severely limited opportunities he didn't disappoint. It requires patience to stick with a run game and Nagy didn't have any last night.
The big problem is will Nagy ever have the patience. I really thought that in the off season Nagy would realize he does not have an elite passer. Trubisky will never be Mahomes. He doesn’t need to be if you balance out the offense. It is so fucking brain dead to focus so much of the offense on passing when you have one of if not the best defense, a stable of good runners, a good O line and a QB that is not up to the task. If PRACTICE is telling him to run the offense this way our coach of the year just might be clueless on how to run and what to take from PRACTICE.
