Nate Sudfeld broke his non-throwing arm. Eagles playing Kessler now and maybe the rookie. Wentz better stay healthy.
It a tough one to answer but (assuming I wanted to go and had money to throw around) I wouldn't consider going for more than $100 CAD in great seats (in Winnipeg, where they are far, far away from NFL stadiums). I do think the value should be less but you are paying for a one-off thing. When they Bills played in Toronto it was a season game and the prices were similar as this preseason game. Averaged C$183 per seat. In Buffalo, Bills tickets averaged C$51 per seat at the time. Why go to Toronto to see the game when you can make the cool road trip to Buffalo at a third of the price? In Winnipeg it'd be different if it was a regular season game. People may be willing to pay those prices since they aren't close to the real stadium.
Time for the Eagles to sign a FA or trade for a backup QB if Sudfeld can't get back soon. Kessler and Thorson don't look ready to step in at a moment's notice.
I watched about 2 minutes of football this season and I realized I hate that PI can be challenged. It's honestly such a moronic thing. I feel bad for the Saints having to go through what they went through last year, but that missed call was so egregious (in that it should never have been missed) and should not be what dictates a new rule. Be prepared for lots of complaining as we have the new "What's a catch" rule.
Don't forget to check out the Home page of L4SN. All the 'player updates' from the offensive side of the ball are located there and updated rather often.
Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway has been working with reserve units during training camp and he won’t be playing at all during the first four weeks of the regular season. Callaway has been suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season because of a substance abuse policy violation. Callaway can practice and play with the team in the preseason before going on the suspended list. “I take full responsibility for my actions,” Callaway said in a statement. “I made a mistake and I own that. I have taken steps to make myself better and I appreciate the Browns standing by me and supporting me during this time. I know there’s nothing I can say to regain trust; it will all be about my actions.” Callaway was cited for marijuana possession charges last summer, but had those charges dismissed earlier this year. Callaway was also cited for marijuana possession while at the University of Florida, where he had several other off-field incidents that led to him being suspended for the entire 2017 season. Callaway caught 43 passes for 586 yards and five touchdowns during his rookie season. He had three catches for 42 yards against Washington on Thursday night. (PFT)
I have to agree with you. How does anyone miss a call like that? But it happened and now we have to live with it.
Report: Antonio Brown won’t play football again if he doesn’t get to wear his helmet of choice https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...f-he-doesnt-get-to-wear-his-helmet-of-choice/
Suddenly that trade doesn’t look so bad does it? Looking more and more like the Steelers got the better end of a trade with the Raiders for the second year in a row.
Thanks for the heads up. Lost a bet to an internet buddy of mine and as punishment ?? I have to join his FFB league. (and put in a good effort) Never done this before. Learning a lot. In a hurry. Gonna be on that page a ton. But I hope not too often.
Sudfeld is expected to be back in September. That isn't bad. Eagles might not have to panic. They may risk with a shitty backup QB hoping Wentz is fine the first month.
Decision in Antonio Brown grievance is expected this week Sometimes, the wheels of NFL justice grind slowly. Sometimes, they move like grease through a goose. In the Antonio Brown helmet grievance, the latter appears to be more likely to happen. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, a decision regarding whether Brown will be permitted to wear his Schutt AiR Advantage helmet is expected this week. Schutt discontinued the AiR Advantage in 2011. Brown’s helmet could not be re-certified for 2019, because it is more than 10 years old. And Brown has refused to wear any other helmet model. It’s hard to imagine Brown prevailing. It’s also hard to imagine him walking away from more than $30 million guaranteed over the next two years simply because he doesn’t want to take the time to find a helmet that works for him, and to get used to it. For $30 million, most reasonable people would pick a helmet and wear it 24 hours a day. It’s becoming more and more clear, however, that there’s nothing reasonable about Antonio Brown.
