https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/...or-10-games-and-since-traded-yasiel-puig-for/ Garrett charged the entire dugout and only got 8 games. that seems light.
Pirates pitcher Keone Kela has received a 10-game suspension for intentionally throwing a pitch in the area of the head of Derek Dietrich of the Reds in the bottom of the seventh inning and for his role in instigating the bench-clearing incident; Reds pitcher Amir Garrett has received an eight-game suspension for inciting the bench-clearing incident by running to the area outside the Pirates’ dugout and throwing a punch in the top of the ninth inning; Pirates infielder José Osuna has received a five-game suspension for his aggressive and inappropriate actions during the ninth inning incident; Reds pitcher Jared Hughes has received a three-game suspension for intentionally throwing a pitch at Starling Marte of the Pirates in the top of the ninth inning. Pirates pitcher Kyle Crick has received a three-game suspension for his inappropriate actions during the ninth inning incident; Cleveland Indians outfielder Yasiel Puig, who was then a member of the Reds, has received a three-game suspension for his aggressive actions during the ninth inning incident; Reds manager David Bell has received a six-game suspension for returning to the field following his ejection; escalating the incident with his aggressive actions; his Club’s intentional pitch at Marte; and his numerous ejections this season; Pirates manager Clint Hurdle has received a two-game suspension for his Club’s conduct during the incident and his Club’s multiple intentional pitches thrown at Dietrich this season.
Im not sure where your going, to be honest. Both Kela and Garrett were held responsible. One incited, one instigated, lol.
hitting a batter happens a lot. no one charges the other dugout. and the two incidents didn't happen consecutively. sorry but they were two different things that happened minutes apart. to me garrett charging the dugout started the brawl as that led to the fighting and bell and puig getting involved not the hit batter.
https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/...er-discussing-relocation-to-nevada-last-year/ d-backs thinking or relocating to Nevada ? how is a 20 yr old stadium basically grounds to find or build a new one ? i was in the old braves stadium years ago-turner field and the usher then said the stadium is falling apart and needs $200 million in renovations. why do they let them fall to shit like that ? why don't they keep up with repairs so they can extend the stadium life past 20 yrs? the flyers and sixers at the wells fargo center widen concourses, added more bathrooms and added more special seats in the lower levels to keep up with the times. the arena is 24 yrs old. the phils added new offices on the outer perimeter of the stadium for employees and wider seats behind home plate with head rests. the stadium is already 16 yrs old. they're not moving anytime soon. sorry but letting a billion dollar stadium fall to pieces after 20 yrs is a disgrace.
The beaning definitely started the brawl. It was obviously very deliberate and also it was thrown at the guys head.

Astros right-hander Aaron Sanchez and relievers Will Harris, Joe Biagini, and Chris Devenski no-hit the Mariners on Saturday, marking the 12th no-hitter (and second combined no-no) in franchise history. Saturday’s 9-0 win also marked Sanchez’s first official outing with the Astros following his trade from the Blue Jays at Wednesday’s trade deadline. After taking 10 losses in his last 12 starts in Toronto, Sanchez looked unhittable against Seattle. He issued just two walks over six innings and struck out six of 21 batters, finishing his run with a pitch count of 92. In the seventh, right-handed reliever Will Harris subbed in for Sanchez. He preserved the no-hitter for another inning, inducing a groundout from Daniel Vogelbach, walking Domingo Santana on five pitches, and getting J.P. Crawford to ground into an inning-ending double play. In the eighth, Joe Biagini—another piece of the Sanchez trade—stepped in to carry the no-hitter a little further along. His first inning in an Astros’ uniform went about as well as Harris’ had: He induced a groundout from Austin Nola, walked Ryan Court, landed a strikeout against Keon Broxton, and encouraged another groundout from Mallex Smith to bring the team within three outs of their first combined no-hitter since 2003. With three outs remaining, Houston skipper A.J. Hinch turned the ball over to Chris Devenski. It’s been a touch-and-go season for the 28-year-old right-hander, who carried a 4.31 ERA, 3.2 BB/9, and 9.9 SO/9 into the game. On Saturday, however, he was flawless, utilizing just 12 pitches as he retired Kyle Seager, Omar Narvaez, and Vogelbach in order. Before Saturday, the Astros hadn’t seen a no-hitter in nearly three years. Mike Fiers was the last to do it for Houston, in a 3-0 affair against the Dodgers during the summer of 2015. The Mariners, on the other hand, are the most recent MLB team to be on the receiving end of a no-hitter, as they were blanked by the Angels’ Taylor Cole and Felix Peña just last month. Following the Astros’ impressive feat, the Mariners are also the first team to be no-hit twice in a single season since the 2015 Dodgers. (NBC)
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Seattle Mariners infielder Tim Beckham has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The 80-game suspension of Beckham is effective immediately. Beckham, 29, the first overall pick in the 2008 draft, signed a one-year, $1.75 million contract with Seattle last January. He was hitting .237/.293/.461 with 15 homers and 47 RBI on the season. He started the season in red-hot fashion, posting an .880 OPS in Mach and April but quickly tailed off before enjoying a strong July. Now he’s out for August, September and — if he manages to sign on someplace this offseason — for the fist 30-some-odd games at the start of next season as well.
^^^they know they test and they still do drugs/steroids. i don't get it? are these players that dumb? they can't beat the tests.

It’s been quite the year for the Twins, who are currently positioned to upstage the 2018 Yankees for most home runs hit in a single MLB season. In the sixth inning of Friday’s 6-2 loss to the Indians, they reached a collective 226 home runs with Eddie Rosario‘s leadoff home run off of right-hander Shane Bieber, shattering the standing franchise record set for single-season homers in 1963. Behind Minnesota’s impressive 226-HR mark, the Yankees are a not-too-distant second with 208 dingers, while the Astros and Dodgers are tied for third in the league with 192 apiece. Given ample time and talent, however, the Twins appear unlikely to relinquish their first-place status anytime soon — especially if the recently-injured Nelson Cruz makes his way back into the lineup before the end of the month.
