I'm confused - is Dallas not the defending NFC East champion...? YUP..........@ 10-6 and then beat Seattle in RD - 1 and Lost to LA Rams in RD 2..... .....but I'm sure you already knew that Axe.
since you don't deal in the past...the season is over and last year. hahahaha. it's 2019, not 2018, so that is the past to me. Hell yesterday is the past to me. haha. and any gentlemen bet for $1 - Eagles-Cowboys I'm in for bragging rights ?
Ha ha - then as soon as training camp 2018 opened, Eagles were no longer champs? New season underway, right? Oops, no - we had to smell the Iggles until a new champ was crowned. Dallas has current bragging rights - pull your big boy pants on and deal with it! Which is it - gentleman's bet or a $1 bet? Either way, sure. Teams are pretty evenly matched.
oh damn i thought they were the same thing? haha. $ 1 a game. a mighty $2 on the line unless you wanna up it to $5 a game? dallas - philly even if both teams stink is also a battle dating back to the 1980 NFC Title game. It's a great rivalry in football.
Rutger Hauer, the versatile Dutch leading man of the ’70s who went on star in the 1982 “Blade Runner” as Roy Batty, died July 19 at his home in the Netherlands after a short illness. He was 75. https://variety.com/2019/film/news/rutger-hauer-dead-dies-blade-runner-co-star-1203278050/
Rutger Hauer seriously creeped me out in The Hitcher (1986). One of those movies I woke up in the middle of the night and caught on cable when I was a teen and back before we had the parental controls on the cable box to lock out R-rated flicks..
parental controls? haha. i had cable tv since 1980 and my parents had no idea cinemax had soft core porn on it after midnight. haha.
These days my cable box lets you block specific content, ratings, or channels which you have to punch in a PIN to unlock them. Never thought about using it much until I was up early, when my kids were real little, and flipped through the channels and found out that we were getting the west coast feed of some soft-porn flick at 7AM EST. It just never even occurred to me to think of that. So now my kids are locked out of R and MA rated stuff. As for me, my Dad was the first on the block with cable back in 1979 or 1980. We had a line upstairs and downstairs. When my folks were watching some R rated show, they'd send me upstairs and I'd wind up watching it anyway or find something else. Had the remote ready to switch channels if I heard them coming upstairs.
Those were the days when MTV actually played music and ESPN gave you the scores and highlights. That's all they needed to do. What the hell happened ?
Didn't ONTV come before HBO ? They were great except there was no pause button. If you had tp go to the bathroom, you missed something.
This reminds me of a comedian I saw a while back. He was in his late 40's and said "Remember back when you missed your favorite TV show before you had a VCR? It's not like today where you can just watch it on demand or DVR it or find it on-line. Back then, when you missed a show, you missed it............forever." Which reminds me of when I was 5 or so and got punished. Couldn't watch the 2nd of the 2-part episode of the Bionic Man where he met up with Bigfoot (played by Andre the Giant of all people and Stefanie Powers was in it too ). It wasn't until over 20 years later the SciFi network had a Bionic Man marathon going on when I finally caught the 2nd half to that.
