Team confirms Bobrovsky is a Panther. 7 years, $10 mil AAV. NMC for first five years.

I mean, if you wanna win, you have to have this contract. You f***ed up the roster badly enough... $10 mil is a ton for him. The key is that NMC for five years. If Bob is still a viable starter in year 6 and Knight is ready to take over, that's ideal - you move Bob. But if Bob isn't moveable, and Knight's ready, you're in a tough salary spot. A NMC at 3-4 years would've been better, if you're giving him $10 mil.

Ah, well. The Panthers needed to take advantage of their window. Coach Q and Bobrovsky solve two problems. Guys like Acciari solve another. But the D is still a glaring issue. If the team wins a Cup (or competes for one) in the next three years, it'll make salary cap hell easier 5-7 years from now.

So now that Florida has really stepped it up...... the Atlantic now has TB, Tor, Bos, and Fla. No easy outs there. Montreal and Ottawa are in trouble, Buffalo to a lesser degree.

Oh man I forgot about the Wings, my bad Will!
Agree that Detroit is in trouble again. Slow and steady Will, Stevie Y needs time and he’ll make a difference. Just gotta give him time.

Florida should have been a part of that group last year. Adding a legit top goalie, Coach Q, and some bottom-line grit should be a big help. Defense still isn't fixed. Going to be another bloodbath year for the division.

This is what I'm glad FLA avoided. Myers looks like the right fit, but doesn't play like it. While I don't like the Stralman deal, at least that's 3 years. I actually thought Myers would've gotten more, to be honest.

Rags, Devils and Isles having good teams is good for US tv ratings.

Nyquist had 60 points last year, $5.5 M aav sounds fair. Not sure why the Wings traded him for 2nd and 3.rd picks.
